Has anyone gone recently and would recommend a character meal for a 2 yr old boy? Really wondering if Cinderella's castle character meal would be worth it. He does know/like Cinderella though.

I would HIGHLY recommend Garden Grille for a first character meal. the booths all face outward and are very private with some great scenery (the restaurant rotates very slowly, so it always changes!), but the added benefit is he won't see the characters coming from way across the room and be constantly distracted. The characters rotate amongst some major ones, but you will at least see Mickey, usually chip and dale, and I've had 50/50 on pluto or Goofy; there will be four, though. it is family style dining with an adult platter and a childs platter, all you can eat, and the food is unique (and SUPERB!)without being over the top for picky eaters, especially the child's platter.

I would recommend Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Minnie Mouse. Its a really nice restaurant. We are going to try Donald's Breakfastsorous in July...Donald, Mickey, Goofy, and pluto...they r also dressed up as palientologists from what ive heard. Sounds fun, good luck with what you choose.

I'd 2nd Garden Grill. I tried it for the first time with my DD(7) in May. The food was great, character interaction was great, and the desserts were really great! The decorate your own cupcake for kids was really nice.

I also love any meal at Crystal Palace with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore. The food is great. I really love breakfast. If you make an ADR for before the park opens (make sure it isn't an extra magic morning) you can walk up a nearly empty Main St and be done with breakfast just as MK is opening.

We love the Garden Grille. One of our favorite characters restaurant. Crystal Palace would be a good idea as well if your DS like Winnie the Pooh.

What about the new Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney breakfast or lunch? Does he know Jojo's Circus, or Little Einsteins?

Hmmm... I hadn't really given much thought to eating at GG... it sounds like something my son would like (the rotating part... like the Equinox in San Francisco... but much cheaper!), I think I'll see if I can book a meal there and squeeze it into our loads of ADRs somewhere!!!

He loves little einsteins. My mom was there two weeks ago and she said it wasn't finished yet. She did see the stage show and thought it was very good.

Like Wendi2000 said theres a breakfast with Jojo and her lion and the Little Einsteins are always there. Also they might like Chef Mickeys.

My son was 2 in January when we went--he enjoyed all of our character meals.

We had breakfast at 'Ohana with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto--he fell in love with Pluto at this one.

Breakfast at CP with Pooh & The Gang--he loved that one too.

We ate at the Garden Grill for lunch--that one wasn't so great for us as far as character interaction.

Breakfast with Donald at AK--he really liked this one too.

When we return next January we're going to do the Playhouse Disney Breakfast--he will love meeting June & Leo!

Best two for a 2 that we've done so far--'Ohana & CP.
