We went to WDW in Dec. 2001 and loved seeing the characters on the bus in World Showcase. We are going back to WDW in May and I see it's still listed. Is this only during holiday times?? or is it a daily thing year round? I'm confused. I assumed it was a holiday thing.

We love the wonderful photo ops this provided!

TIA!
:D

I have only been able to go to WDW in the summer months and last year in July I saw the character bus at Epcot, so I think it must be a year round activity.:earsgirl:

The characters are on 'holiday' in the UK sense... hence the double decker bus. I think the bus has a Union Jack on it as well. IMO it's one of the best outdoor character greets in all the World. There's a queue for M&M and the other characters have handlers as well. It's one of the most organized free-for-alls ; )

We've even seen Daisy on the bus.

Yes, the Disney Characters on Holiday bus runs daily, not just in the Christmas season. The only difference is there is no Christmas music the rest of the year (of course), the characters return to their standard attire (tux for Mickey, red poka-dotted dress form Minnie, etc.) and the bus also makes stops in a country or two in World Showcase in addition to Future World and Showcase Plaza (I belive it's been Japan lately).

We love the holiday bus of characters too! We always make sure we catch it at some point when we are in Epcot. You can get greet so many characters with mostly short lines very quickly. We were just there last week and caught the Japan stop at 12:20. Only Mickey and Minnie even had lines and they were short. The other characters DD got to walk right up to and they each gave her lots of personal attention. The bus is definetly a daily event and has sheduled stops throughout the day. Just look at your show times guides for exact time and location.
