Changing Waitlist dates?

Currently booked at the VWL from Nov. 24 to Dec. 5th. We are on the WL for BCV for Nov. 29th to the 5th.
Has anyone modified their WL? ie. dropping or adding a day at the end.
Do you get sent to the bottom of the list if you do make a change?

Instead of WL for all 7 days I was thinking of splitting it up and just WL for the last 4 days and if that gets filled quickly then do the prior 3 day.
Any other ideas?

I have dropped one when I was able to pick up a partial by calling so it is “technically” possible, I do not know if MS will allow it without “loosing your place” as a matter of general practice

I called MS yesterday and was going to take a day off my WL thinking that it would help the odds that it comes through. MS told me that you can take a day off your WL without losing your place in line, but if you add days you lose your place. Hope this helps and good luck!

I know I've modified my waitlist once or twice and it was treated like a reservation modification. No problem - I retained my place in line with the adjustment in place.

Since you are allowed 2 waitlists at any given time why not adjust your current w/l into 2 separate ones - ask first and make sure you'll retain your place on the list.
