DebbieB said:I wouldn't necessarily blame your TA. It's possible when she pulled up the chart for seat assignments there were no 2 seats together, there's nothing she could have done about that.
GEM said:Oh yes. It's all perfectly clear. No worries in that department.
GEM said:No. I'm not trying to be silly at all. I'm not trying to "give you a hard time" either. I just hate it when people cry and whine "why are you all picking one me" when nobody is!
You posted about a problem you had. Many people posted kindly and offered you suggestions. Not one single person said ANYTHING remotely rude to you, yet you got EXTREMELY defensive and accused people of flaming you and making judgements about your personality, which no one had done. Your reaction was totally uncalled for and didn't show much maturity on your part. Then, when someone had the nerve to point out that you were seriously over reacting, you got even more upset and used that classic mature response, "whatever". Nice.
But, apparently, now you've gone back and edited your post. So maybe you've noticed that you got totally worked up over absolutely nothing. Youre response, though, was very telling.
I really do hope you have a great trip and that everything works out for you. Just try not to take along that chip you seem to have on your shoulder.
Bye.![]()
GEM said:No problem. Have a good trip.
Of course, now I look like an idiot because you erased your original VERY angry, accusatory, and near hysterical post and no one knows what I'm talking about, but . . .
whatever!![]()
I don't know how this happened but the TA seated us one behind the other on our flight to Orlando.
I would not expect a passenger with an aisle seat to switch to a window seat, or vice versa.
lost*in*cyberspace said:Honestly, get a grip. What is the big deal? I have been separated from my husband many times on flights (in fact, since we both like aisle seats, we often sit of opposite sides of the aisle) and guess what, we both survived!
Save your worrying and complaints for real problems.
Well, think about it. Try reading what you wrote from an impartial point of view. Why would you think or expect or even consider the possibility that another passenger would get removed from the flight so you can get the seat you want, aka, frankly, get your way?Ok I really just wanted to let this go but I feel I have to explain myself.
I asked if someone would get bumped if I called and asked for my seats to change. Two different people said that they would not bump someone so "I could have my way." Assuming that I am selfish enough to actually think that.

ExPirateShopGirl said:Yes, there are more important worries... but apparently none of you will let this die until the woman has thrown herself in front of a bus for becoming upset over the seating assignments.
Clearly, the getting a grip might be good advice for all.![]()
And with that... we're headed off to DCA!

Doggoneit - yesterday Southwest had a TERRIFIC Ding fair to Orlando from Indy for my travel dates, but I passed it up because I was ticketed on Delta using miles. If I can get a similar SW fare I may call Delta and have them put the miles back...enough of their stupid changes!
