Changing reservation at 7 months out

We're planning our next trip for November, 2004, checking in the Saturday after Thanksgiving for a week. Our home resort is VWL, so I will make the reservation to stay there 11 months out. We would prefer to stay at BCV on that trip, though.

I know I can call at 7 months to try to change the reservation to BCV, but I just wondered what anyone else's experience has been with that time of year. Will it be too busy at BCV to get a reservation 7 months out?

I did Thanksgiving week and weekend prior to my DVC membership so I can't tell you about avail. but it was a great week.

The park was dead, Walked right on Small World 3 days in a row.

The 1st 2weeks of Dec are very high DVC use time - As for your chances you could try to switch the reessie over one day at a time - or you could try to trade with a BCV owner on the rent/trade board. I am sure more experienced people will hopefully give you more insightful advice.
