Changing Dates on MNSSHP?

I know the tickets are non-refundable but will Disney allow me to change the dates if we absolutely have to and how many days out from the party? We will be arriving on the day of a party and I would like to purchase advance tickets for that event. The next party will be the day we are leaving and don't want to start our drive home at 1am after the party! But, since we are driving if we get in later than expected it might be better for us to try and stay an additional night and attend the later party. We are visiting in September so I don't think the parties will sell out but I was just wondering if dates can be changed if requested.
