Changing Cell Phone Plan

Hi,
We live in an area where we can take our number with us. After almost 10 years with Cingular (formerly Cell One), we are fed up and planning to switch.

Anyone happy with their plan?

We are on-time payers, electronically and they have some trouble posting our payments in a timely manner, then turned off the phone less than 1 week after the payment was due.

We are not a bad credit risk, and we will now pay earlier (so you don't need to suggest the obvious!)

I just switched from T-mobile to Sprint and have been happy so far.

Our plan is $65 total for 2 phones, 1000 anytime minutes, unlimited nights/weekends, and pcs to pcs. It is state wide coverage, but I still have unlimited long distance. I just can't use it out of Texas if I dont' want to pay 50 cents a minute! We don't travel much, so it's not an issue for us.

We just ported my DH's cell phone number with Cellular One ( I absolutely HATE this company - lousy service - phones won't work, even in their prime areas, horrible and snotty customer service reps, they have changed our plan on us and tacked on roaming, etc.)

Last summer it got so bad that I switched my DD and my phones over to Sprint, at that time you couldn't keep your phone number, and later added my DS. My DH refused to give up his phone number as he uses it for business. Since porting over last week - he is AMAZED with the clarity of his calls and the fact that it doesn't go in and out of range.

We are very happy with Sprint.

We moved from SunCom to Sprint and are VERY happy with the service!!
We used our phones during our last trip to NYC, and had great reception and clarity. Not only that, but we didn't have any 'out of area' charges during our trip!!

We have Sprint and have been very happy with them. Dh's company wants everyone to switch to Verizon (they pay part of the bill), but Verizon charges $20 per additional line a month and Sprint doesn't. My phone is practically free, it's hard to give up that! Also, dh has had the phone replacement program, lost one phone they replaced it right away and had another one (the kind with a palm pilot too, very expensive) stolen at church, and they replaced it by Tuesday morning! Unfortunately, he can't do that plan anymore though, lol.

I went from Sprint to Verizon and am MUCH happier.

I had horrid reception on Sprint and do much better on Verizon.

It was so easy, took about 3 hours for the switch. (NOTE: I hear that ATT has problems with the switch!)

I am in Indiana and have had Cingular for about 10 years and have never had a problem with it, DH had Verizon for work and its awful. You are never able to complete a call, its always dropped. At first we thought it was the phone, but this is his second phone and its still bad. You call him and then he has to find a land phone and call you back!! We have the family line plan and ds uses the phone in Texas and its the same price as if he were in Indiana.
