Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude-April 11-19, 2014-Day 9-Part 3 (updtd 6/29)

Ohhhh....I love slushies in France!!! Great update, Susan!!

thanks Christine. I love the pink ones best. They only have them during Flower and Garden. They have a red one during Food and Wine that is a close second.

That Easter Egg hunt looked like a lot of fun. Cute idea!

Those pork sliders are yummy. When we go in October and have the dining plan, we always save up our snack credits for the Food and Wine Festival. The portion sizes on some of the items are pretty amazing. I love being able to sample several different things than having one large entree.

Have you ever tried the Italian Margarita? It's my favorite drink in WS.

The topiaries are one of my favorite things at WDW.

Those pork sliders look awesome and I can't believe they are only a snack credit!

So yummy. We do that as well. Save up those snack credits for munching around the World Showcase at Food and Wine. It has been several years since we have been to F&W, but we are going this year. Looking forward to it!!

I haven't but I need to put that on my list !!

The topiaries are one of my favorite things at WDW.

They had a lot of super cute ones!!

It was a great deal because they filled us up just fine.

I found the bands annoying and itchy too. I hadn't thought about getting a cover for it.
That egg hunt looks really fun. I had not heard of that one before!

The bands really helped with that. I never really noticed it much once I put the cover band on.

That egg hunt looks really fun. I had not heard of that one before!

They only do it for a couple of weeks. We missed it last year, So I was glad we got to do it this year,

Day 4 – Part Four

We had two eggs left to find and DD was whining about wanting to swim so we made our way out of the World Showcase

We found all of our eggs !! I have no clue why she is holding her magic band up in this photo.

This is the little prize you got. It is an Easter Egg. It opens up and you can put candy, etc. in it.

More flowers and topiaries.

After that, we headed in to Mouse Gear to buy stuff.

I got this for DD.

It is a rice crispie treat

We got these at the caramel store in Germany. Very yummy.

OK back to Mouse Gear stuff. We also got these two coffee mugs.

Steampunk Stitch

Jiminy Cricket

After that we headed back to Old Key West, got into our swimsuits and headed to relax at the pool. DS was too cool for the pool, so he stayed in the room to listen to his angry music.

They had the games going in full force. DD loves the games.

I got our mugs.

After a while, we dragged DD away and went back to get dressed for dinner.

Up next. Dinner at Cape May

Cute little Easter Egg! I'm glad your daughter got something for finding them all.

Kids! How on earth do you pass on a beautiful day at a really cool pool?!

Is this your first time with the new mugs? How did you like them? When we first tried them in October, we had a few issues. Sometimes they wouldn't work correctly. I'm the type of person who likes to take a few sips then top it off and that won't work with the new system.

Yes, it was a cute little Daisy Duck egg.

I don't even know. He is all about his friends. Whatevs.

No that won't work. We only fill them up sometimes and we didn't have a problem.

But the kids made due with Stacy and the Disney channel. That is the only negative thing I can say about this room.
Who has time for TV at Disney World, anyway? I never get past flipping it on and listening to Stacy for background noise. That's about the extent of my TV viewing on our trips. :rotfl2:

So a week or so ago, I professed my love for old things on Facebook. I saw these a day or two ago and I just had to have them. 8 drawers from 1928 Singer Sewing Machine Cabinets and one from an 1894 cabinet. Right now to me they are coolest things ever.
Nice find. What is your end goal for them? Are you going to get a cabinet to put them in or just stack them?

We had fast passes for Soarin’ so we needed to ride Test Track in the standby line. The wait was already up to 30 minutes and there was a line out the door, so we all hopped in the single rider line and rode in 5 minutes.
Wow... it definitely was a busy morning. Good call on single rider.

Our fast pass for Soarin wasn’t for another hour, so DD wanted to ride Sum of all Thrills. She loves this ride.
I really need to try that one out sometime.

So we let her play for a while since we knew she would be outgrowing it soon and becoming a teenage brat like her brother is.
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I work for a landscape architect and we are designing a children’s garden at our local zoo. I made sure to get lots of photos. It was “research”.
Hmmm... tax write off??? :scratchin

We arrived in Mexico and DD was moaning about being hungry, so we got her some Nachos and churros at La Cantina de San Angel.
Sounds good. I could go for that right about now.

DH and I noshed on some Pulled Pork Sliders with Cole Slaw. These were snack credits.
Ok... that sounds good too. Clearly, I need to find something to snack on. :rotfl2:

Love the Frozen treat... :) I will have to find my Landen one on our trip...

Do you happen to remember how much the coffee mugs were? I was just thinking this morning that I would love a new mug when we go and my boys' babysitter needs some new ones. I noticed this morning that all of hers look so old and I know she would love to have a new Disney one as a souvenir! She does so much for us and would love to get her one!

I like to come back in after dinner and just take it easy most nights. I am not a night owl. So we watch a little TV and I always have a sewing project with me.

I just have fabric in them right now. They are just cool to me. I REALLY want an early 1900 treadle machine and I have my eye on a few.

It was Spring Break whaddaya gonna do?

I really need to try that one out sometime.

I wish !!!

Sorry, food photos make me hungry, too.

The mugs cost:

$8.99 for one day
$11.99 for two days
$14.99 for three days, and
$17.99 for Length of Stay.

So if you just want to buy one for a souvenir, $9 and if you want to fill it up for "free"all week it is $18.

Ok I'm a loser... I avoid have clarified... The coffee mugs... Lol!!

We have so many souvenirs cups- I hate they did the chips in them to make you buy again :/

They are all about making every extra penny. Fo sho.

Day 4 – Part Five

After a couple of hours at the pool, we headed back in to get ready for dinner. We were headed over to Cape May Café at the Beach Club. DD loves this place.

I love the Beach Club. We stayed there last September and it was amazing.

We got a buzzer at the podium and waited a little while.

I love this lobby and they pipe in some kind of perfume-y smell that I just love. The two scents that I have found that are really close are Polo Black and Rainkissed Leaves by Bath and Bodyworks.

So after a while they called our name and we headed in to eat. I love this buffet. They do have good seafood options but they also have all kinds of other things. And the kids love the macaroni here. Always a winner for us.

And they have great desserts.

They used to have these things called oreo bon bons, but they don’t have them any more. But we knew that they sold them in the gift shop, so after dinner we headed over there and see if they had some.

DD checked the case they were in and no … none left. So I asked. And one of the CM;s said she could go check and see. She said it would take her about 10-15 minutes to go to the place to check though and asked if we could wait. We said yes, and after a while she came back with four packages of them on her cart saying that was all that was left. We grabbed a package and thanked her.

Here they are in all of their glory.

Super yummy!!

All of the extra time in the gift shop and I couldn’t resist these cute pajamas.

And DD got some lollipops.

After dinner, we headed back to OKW and went to bed. Day 5 coming up !!!

Love the BC. We stayed there for a night in March and it was wonderful. We also have a post cruise stay there in October. Great resort and great location.

Love CMC too!

Cute pj's!

We LOVE BC!! How did OKW compare to BC after staying at both?

I've never had those little sweets. We will have to look for them on our next trip!

BC is a gorgeous resort. That's awesome that the Cm was able to find you guys some Oreo Bon bons.
