We arrive in WDW Sat night. Our plans (5 day PH) are:

Sun - MK
Mon - AK, illuminations at night
Tues - no park day/hang out at hotel
Wed - Epcot, MK parade at night
Thurs - MGM/fantasmic
Fri - Epcot, MNSSHP at night
Sat - DTD, and fly back

Now the forecast says "rain" for Sunday, and "showers" for Monday. Tuesday and Wed say stray or scattered storms. This is the first trip to WDW for DS4, and he's so excited about it.

I'm expecting a little rain each day. But if the forecast is for a good long day of rain on Sunday, would you change your park plans? I hate to spoil his fun at MK. Is it better to go to MGM because there are lots of shows? Or to AK 'cuz the animals come out in the rain?

Just looking for opinions from the experts! Thanks.

Francie

We have done Mk in the rain on numorous occasions. We just put on the ponchos and old sneakers and tromp through. Really the only thing that halts us is lightnings.

We'll be at AK on monday as well - and from what I heard - it's a great park to do in the rain. The animals are very active, and there is a lot of cover - even riding the safari is covered! As far as MK in the rain - it really thins out the crowds! Ponchos are great, and when you can't stand the drizzle - go see a show. The weather in FL is so unpredictable anyway - you could change your plans, and the weather could change right along with them. Have fun!
