Chances of getting BWV BW View 12/26-1/1?

We just requested a studio at Boardwalk with Boardwalk view for 12/26-1/1. We requested online and we are waiting to hear back. Is this totally hopeless since we waited too long to make our reservations? Has anyone else had any luck getting reservations this late?

Not sure if you were planning to stay that night, but this suggests that DVC is very busy. Given the BW view at BWV is one of the first room catogories to sell out, I would think that your chances at this time are poor. As someone in another post put it, not as good as the chance of getting hit by lightening while holding 5 winning lottery tickets!

Call MS and see if you can get a reservation somewhere, then waitlist for the BW view and keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks SuzanneSLO! We are probably going to check out on 1/1. We were actually thinking of getting reservations outside of DVC for a few more days from 1/1 - 1/4 or something like that. But first I want to concentrate on just getting our DVC reservations taken care of!

You pretty much need to own BWV and reserve at the 11 month window if you want a Boardwalk view Christmas week. Ther are undoubtedly many ahead of you on the waitlist.

You will be fortunate to get any studio for the BWV at this point - hope it works out for you.

Actually, you will be doing well to get ANYTHING on property that week - this is really late to book. Not trying to rain on your parade, but if they offer you anything, best grab it!

Actually, I KNOW there are no 1 or 2 bedroom units to be had at any of the WDW DVC resorts from 12/31 to 1/3. I called on 7/3 and neither size was available until 1/4 at the earliest. I knew it was a long shot - but you never know until you ask.

I have been on the waitlist for a boardwalk view studio for 12/31/07 since Feb 2, 2007 and it has not become available. I do have my preffered view studio confirmed for 12/30-1/4/2008!

Well that's a bummer (but not a suprise). Yep - everything is booked for the time period we wanted. I guess we will try to go in late January when it's less crowded. Thanks for all the replies! Next time we want to go around Christmas we will book much sooner!!
