HELP!!! I am in great debate whether or not to switch my 4 night to a 7 night. I have found a great deal on a 7 night Disney cruise that would be affordable for me. It is also very close to the original date we already had booked. The only big difference other than the extra nights is we are going from a cat.10 sph to a cat 11. I first chose a 4 night because we have never cruised and wasn't sure how we be with sea sickness and all. No one gets motion sickness but I know it is different on a ship. Would you suggest a shorter cruise for the first time out or just go for the Shabang?

Go for the whole Shabang!

Everything else is in your favor. (Price, timing)

Everyone (yes, and I mean EVERYONE) w/whom I've ever spoken who has done a 4-day Disney trip have voiced the same, 'it wasn't long enough, I wished I'd booked the seven-day.'

I've never met (or read on these boards) 'it was too long. We should've done the 4-day.'

I think most everyone will agree.::yes:

We haven't had a problem w/motion sickness on either of our cruises, and I get motion sickness just being in the passenger seat of a car.

Go for the 7 day! The only thing wrong with a 4 day is that it is over too soon. You won't miss going from a 10 to an 11.

I asked the same Q a while back and got a 100% response to change to the 7 day. I changed and am happy I did!

We just got off our first 7 day after trying the 4 day... it was wonderful... despite a couple days of high waves... so wonderful that we booked on board for another 7 day...

BTW the patch (motion sickness) works great!!!

I would definitely go for the whole shabang! Personally, I wish I could do 10 days. Than I wouldn't feel so rushed! Just so much to do & so little time. :p I wouldn't hesitate doing the 7 especially if there isn't a large price difference. As others have already said...no one has complained they should have done the 4 instead of the 7 day! I say go for it!::yes:: Kathy ;)

Originally we booked a 4 night but changed it to the 7 night instead. After reading these boards, I just felt like 4 nights wouldn't be enough for us!
I say go for the 7 night!!:teeth:

Happy Planning!!::yes::

Do it Do it!!! Peer Pressure.... or should I say Pier Pressure.. :hyper:

and tell us what you did.

Go for the 7. We did a 4 night on the Magic. Was our first cruise ever. Never thought we would do a cruise and we have been back many times - and always with a 7 nighter.

Just Do It - 7 Nights!!:smooth:

Too bad about giving up a SPR room. The extra nights will be worth it. We have decided we like the natural light so we now cruise with a porthole. First cruises were in cat 11 and 10. Didn't miss the window but you never know if its day or night in the inside rooms (when you wake up from a nap or sleep).

If you are worried about motion sickness, discuss those issues with your doctor long before leaving on the trip. You should try the med's out BEFORE you go to make sure that the side effects aren't worse than the motion sickness. And yes, sleeping through the cruise is a worse side effect than the motion sickness!

If I were in your position, I would definitley change to the 7 Night Cruise. We are doing a 4 Night Wonder next February but the only reason for the 4 Night is because we are spending 9 Days at WDW/Universal before the cruise and I can't take anymore time off work or else we would do the 7.

We have cruised both Eastern and Western 7 Nights back to back (Disney Magic & RCCL Voyager) and while I personally probably would not do 14 solid days of cruising again (Just a little long), 7 Nights is perfect!
