Has anyone ever eaten there? When we do CS in AK, we always head to Tusker or Flame Tree. Looking at the menus, the Asian Noodle Salad sounds pretty good for a quick lunch. I've never seen anyone post about eating there tho.

I tried to get something there about a year ago, but after standing in line for about 20 minutes found out that they didn't do anything veggie.

Then earlier this year I went to buy water and they told me that they do a veggie version of the noodle salad. But the older woman behind the counter said 'you're not one of those animal rights people are you?' so I didn't buy anything....

(of all the parks to say something like that... gee...)

Geez, what a comment :confused3

We tried the potstickers there, they were just "eh" - I honestly don't see us clamoring to get there again anytime soon.

Unbelievable! :rotfl: I can't fathom an AK CM saying that. Did you laugh?

We love this spot... the soup is wonderful.

It caught me a little off guard, but I did point out that we were in ANIMAL KINGDOM of all places!!!

And my 89 year old grandfather told me the other day that he and my grandmother joined PETA last year....

;)

Well, and y'know, that Indian sense of humor is sometimes hard to understand, as I'm sure our sense of humor is hard for them to understand.

No, it was a homegrown CM...

:)

And I don't think that it was humour based on how she said it! I think that she was seriously just interested in why someone wouldn't eat animals....

We ate there in September and were pleasantly surprised. Had planned on Tusker house but we finished our second ride on Kali and were starved. CCH was right there and no line. I recommend it.

NB

p.s. Kids liked it too.

I would think that a place named the "Chicken Shack" would specialize in poultry not vegetables. Also, they would not have any qualms about serving dead animals.

Ah, but I would think that a snack stand in 'Asia' would offer veggie items as a large number of the population is vegetarian.

And yes I wear leather shoes.... ;)

We had the chicken stir fry and the potstickers. We liked them both and I though the potstickers were really good. They are served in a broth, instead of plated with sauce. The chicken stir fry was a little "fast foodish" for my taste, but given that its a fast food counter, acceptable.

(Don't hold the comments from one CM against the whole place. Sometimes people don't know when to say "gee, I'm sorry ma'm - everything contains meat, you are right, you think we'd have something vegetarian on the menu!" Instead of "you ain't one of those animal rights nutjobs, are ya?")

DH and I can't go to AK without stopping there for the potstickers in broth. I like to buy the McDonalds fries next door & dip them in the broth too. Yummy!
