Did you guys use chair covers at your reception?? How much did they cost?

Thank you

I did use chair covers and loved them

I would have to go look at the cost i think it was something like $8.50

We didn't need them at the reception, but we used them at the ceremony cuz I hate the cheap-looking black plastic chairs they give you in Epcot.

They cost $8 or $8.50 each, but it was worth it. I just wished they'd steamed the creases out - it looked kinda tacky...

I feel like chair covers help the whole picture. But it is an expense and if you don't have the money no one will really remember.

I am not using chair covers at the reception since you can't at the Attic but I am using them at my ceremony for the same reasons as lurkyloo stated. I hate those darn plastic chairs!! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

We used them at Epcot inside the AAR on their ugly black padded chairs there. I didn't pay for ones at the LSS for the reception though.

My reception is at the GF ballrooms, and I like their chairs; they match our wedding colors, which are pink and orange (the chairs there are a pinkish/peach coral color).

I like chair covers a lot, and if my guest list were half the size that it is, I would put money into that. But save the dates have gone out to over 300 guests, and at $8.50 a pop, I refuse to spend thousands of dollars on rented pieces of white fabric for a 4-hour party. I'd rather put $8.50 a person into another food course, or into favors or flowers. So I'm putting money into upgraded table linens instead to get more bang for my buck :thumbsup2 This way, I can get nice pinkish-orange tablecloths or overlays which will add lots of color to the room and make my tables stand out, but I'll spend less than half the money.

I am going to go with the no chair covers for our reception after talking to a florist last week who pointed out that the room has blue carpets and blue hairs, so to tie it all together we will just change the linens to different shades of blue and purple and tie the whole room in together.

I forget how beautiful that room is in Disneyland, till I see a pic! I can't wait till your big day and I can see how gorgeous it turns out for you! I love the windows!

Did anyone use chair covers at the Yacht Club Gazebo?? If so do you have pictures??

We didn't do chair covers for my daughter's wedding. Her reception was at the Grand Floridian Grand Ballroom and honestly the cost was way too much. They opted to put the money elsewhere like upgrading their video package instead. You will always have the DVD to look back on but you can't keep the chair covers and besides I am sure no one will even notice.

We used chair covers for Epcot. Otherwise we would have had the black plastic chairs. I spent a good amount of money on it, but it was about the look. I would have regreted that purchase if I had not made it.

Here is a close up of the covers:

OK, I'm debating my chair covers if I don't use the wooden chairs at SBP... BUT, can I ask them to iron them. If I pay a boatload of money can't they look crisp? This is a question, not criticism, btw... lol

My DF and my mom both think I am nuts for getting the chair covers for a place that people will be for about 20 minutes for the ceremony but I don't care. They said nobody will even notice the plastic chairs and I said well I will and it will bother me while I am up there saying my vows I will be looking at those stupid chairs saying darn it I should have got those chair covers so I decided to get them. :lmao:

Exactly my thoughts on the subject! lol

I think you should ask! :thumbsup2 I would have if I'd known there was a possibility they wouldn't iron/steam them. It seems like a lot of times they don't take that extra little step that makes things really look good. Like not using roses that are completely open, another pet peeve of mine.... :cutie:

Carrie,
Honestly if you never mentioned about the creases in the chair covers i wouldnt have gone back and looked and realized them in mine too..

I noticed them in Carrie's pics. I am going back and forth on this. Right now we have white chairs but it will save us money if we do covers. The creases really bother me but I am wearing an ivory dress so not sure if we should do white chairs....kwim. Does anyone know if there are more choices than white chairs?

Let's see... there are Chiavari chairs, but those run $15 plus the same delivery fee they tack on the white wooden chairs.

They do have other kinds of chair covers - maybe if you got a satin-y kind of cover it wouldn't wrinkle as much. It might be a few dollars more than the poly-cotton cover, but still cheaper than delivering wooden chairs or upgrading to Chiavaris...

Thanks for the info Carrie! I am glad you pointed out about the roses too! Not to be all Bridezilla but I want my roses open!!! :thumbsup2
