cereal types at Desert Inn? pool at Desert Inn vs. BWPPI?

Hello,
I am wondering if someone has recently stayed at Desert Inn and could tell me what types of cereal are offered at the breakfast there? (For example, are there corn flakes and froot loops?) Also, I realize that the pool is indoor, but is it comparable otherwise to the pool at Best Western Park Place Inn? If anyone has stayed at both hotels, did you have a preference for one pool or breakfast over the other?

I don't specifically remember what types of cereal were there but probably like generic corn flakes and rice krispies. If your kids like other stuff you could always bring along one of those combo packs of little boxes. At least you could use their bowls, spoons and milk. Park Place will likely have the same types. You could call to be sure.

The pool at the Desert Inn is indoors, we never used it. It just didn't seem very inviting for some reason.

Corn Flakes and Plain Cheerios when we there in November.

When we went in late October they had corn flakes and cherrios.
As for the pools, we have used both pools and DIS is an indoor pool and some people dont like that. Since we go in the fall its perfect for us no matter what the weather decides to do. As for size I would say BWPPI is slightly smaller. Again we used both pools and my toddler and I liked them both just fine. As for the hotels they're pretty comparable. We'd stay at both again and currently have ressies at DIS for October. We prefer DIS becuase of the room types and if we book far enough in advance we usually get a cheaper rate.

Thank you very much for the information! We stayed at BWPPI last year, and my kids were happy that they had froot loops (I never buy these, so it was a treat for them), but I'm sure that they'll be fine with corn flakes and cheerios too. We're planning to go in July, so it might be nice to have an outdoor pool, but I'm leaning towards Desert Inn, because it looks to be a bit cheaper for us.

There is also toast with peanut butter and jam at Desert Inn, right?

There is toast with jelly at DI&S but I don't think there was peanut butter when we were there. There was wole fruit (either apples or oranges, they changed each day), sweet rolls (2-3 types each day), toast, cereal, juice, coffee (cant remember if there was tea) and milk.

Thank you! Maybe I could just bring little peanut butter packs...that should work okay.
