What are you talking about if you receive a duplicate & have already sent the original back you are to ignore the duplicate.
I have not received anything...even the letter telling I would get one![]()
The Census has run far beyond what the Constitution intended. The questions that are asked are not in the nature of what is mentioned in the Constitution.
The question it asks are personal, demographic questions which do not do anything related to what the Constitution says.
All the Constitution says is: Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.
That means they count all citizens every ten years. Nothing about race, home ownership, religion, etc. Where does the Constitution give them the right to ask us these questions? Why is the government so intent on collecting this information which it wasn't granted the right to ask for?
What do I do if I received more than one 2010 Census questionnaire?
If you received two or more questionnaires with the same address including any unit or apartment numbers, please complete one of them and mail it back in the postage-paid envelope we provided. You may later get a visit from a census worker to verify the duplication.
But if the questionnaires you received had different addresses, then please complete the one that represents your actual address and mail that back to us.
It's a big deal because the Constitution only gives them the right to count people. I'm not willing to cede powers to the federal government which they don't actually have. I'll let them count me, but I won't answer personal questions. Why are they asking about my race when the purpose of the census is to count for representation?
The Census was used and relied upon for the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. Had they not had this powerful information that they had no right to, they would have had a much tougher time committing such a dastardly and cowardice act.
What's the chuckle for? The Constitution says they get to count people every 10 years. They don't get to ask for my race, age, etc?
As far as internment goes. It has been shown that the Census Agency was heavily involved in tracking and internment of Japanese Americans. It's a shame those people willingly gave up the information that the government had no right to.

Because you're getting SO worked up over something they've been doing from the very first census. You give out more personal info on a credit card application. Don't answer if it freaks you out that much. But don't think you don't somehow give away personal information about yourself. Your username alone already gives out where you're at. In your previous posts, you've mentioned your age. So it's rather amusing you'll share that on the internet where anyone can get that info about you (oh, and public records as well), but heaven forbid the census gets it! So yeah, it's a little amusing to me. To each his own.
