Celebrities at WDW

Several years ago, we were having dinner at Alfredo's before the Candlelight Processional and noticed Sid Caesar dining there. At the Candlelight Processional, Sid Caesar was seated directly behind us alongside Phylicia Rashaad's young daughter (Phylicia Rashaad was the narrator that evening). 3 years ago we saw Wink Martindale having dinner at the Portobello Yacht Club.

Spotted Michael Jackson and his two kids (and 4 bodyguards) on Monday, May 19th at about 5:30 walking down main Street USA. Lots of people talking about the spotting but nobody talking to him or even following him for that matter.

Made for good conversation on the monorail as many people were leaving MK as the rain was starting.

As another CM and I turned around at World of Disney Sunday night (about 10:45 pm) we saw a crowd gathering about a ft from us. We look up and who is it but Michael Jackson! He had his two kids in spiderman masks, and two adolescent boys wearing the whole spiderman costume, what looked like a nanny and about 4 bodyguards. It was really weird. My friends were on the other side of the store, and I kept debating, go get them or just stand here and gawk, standing and gawking won!

Last July we saw Drew Carey at the AKL ,along with John Ritter and several actors from other ABC shows. One of the CM said Demi and Bruce had just been staying there and had 10 rooms booked for their staff, Also said Michael Jackson was there recently and was very difficult. We are staying at AKL next month-maybe we'll see someone then.

I have to confess, if I 'saw' a celebrity, unless they had a big sign on the top of there head, I don't think I would clue in. I'm enjoying everyone else's sightings though!

Back in the mid 80's, I was staying at the Disney Villas (anyone remember those?) We had rented a golf cart to drive to DTD and on the path to DTD we passed Alice Cooper who was there with his family, he waved at us and kept going. We saw him a couple other times that same week as his Villa was in the building next to ours. DH (at the time) wouldn't let me ask for an autograph.

Melindaandrob I'm with you. I am so oblivious to people. My DH can pick people out. We'll walk by someone and he will say "did you see who that was? and of course I don't have a clue.

Last Sept. my dh said that he saw Ted Nugent at MGM. A couple of years ago I overheard a cm telling another cm that Harrison Ford was just on Splash Mountain. I was just on Splash Mountain ! I wouldnt recognize a celebrity either if I ran one over but Harrison Ford..I think definately ! What a great photo that would have made to take home me and Harrison on Splash Mountain !
