Celebrating my Un-Birthday Disney Style-April 2010-New 5/3 - The TR has started!

Yes, you are going to be busy!!!! BUT I won't call you crazy!! :rotfl: Can't wait for your "IN two weeks"!!!! I loved that on your last PTR!!!! SO much fun! Maybe I will borrow your idea this time, I have never done a pre trip wind up like that! HOW exciting it is almost here and the list is getting shorter! :thumbsup2

how cool! you are busy but sound really really on top of it! I wish I was on top of things, yikes!

Well, the two new bookkeeping jobs will help the time go by faster for you. ;)

You are very organized so while it may be hectic, I am sure you will get everything done! :goodvibes

Hello Amy. You probably remember me; we communicated back in the fall. This is the first time I logged on in 5 months. I remembered you said that you all were going back to WDW in April. Well, I am glad you all are going and my wife and I are excited for you and your family.

Sounds like you are getting a lot of things ready forr the trip; you are moving right along. Don't forget to plan ahead on your snow globes, so you do not have to leave them at the airport. Also, make sure Tim has shorts with buttons or velcro on the pockets, so he does not lose his wallet.

Looking forward on seeing the pictures and reading your TR, when you all get back.:surfweb:

Have a great and fun trip!

:cheer2: :woohoo:

You definitely have a full plate, but being so busy will make the time fly! It looks like your list is coming right along....being so organized will also help with the busy-ness!

The camps for the boys sound great. I'm sure they have a blast! :thumbsup2

Wow! You are going to be busy!!! But...like you said the next couple weeks are going to fly by!!!!:thumbsup2

You're so organized!!:goodvibes I have lists scattered around everywhere of last minute things that need to be done and it seems like I remember something new to write down every day. UGH! Hopefully, I can get it all finished up before we go!;)

Wow Amy it sounds like you will be very busy so it will be nice to get your vacation in & enjoy it!! We will need to swap phone #'s soon so we can maybe meet up in AK on Saturday the 1st. I will PM you my # :)

You busy lady!! Making extra money while working from home will be nice though. :thumbsup2 I hope the boys have fun at summer camp! I wish they had something like that for Michael around here. He'll get ESY services this summer but they are so minimal. Three half days a week for just three weeks total in June. Not much at all really and I really feel he will regress. :sad2: Not much longer and you'll be in Disney!!!

... Zach will attend all 8 weeks full-time and Alex will have school T,W,TH with camp on Monday & Friday (paid for by the school!). It was a big battle we were fighting in the fall with his new IEP but they finally agreed to include the camp portion to work on his generalizing of social skills with "neuro-typical" peers. :thumbsup2

That's fantastic news! :woohoo: He will love it!

Busy, Busy, Busy Mama!!

If anything you're Disney crazed and there's nothing wrong with that! ;) But seriously, you seem like a really hard worker and you're right, the next two weeks should fly by because you'll be staying busy.

Looking forward to the "in two weeks" posts!

Hi Amy! I was able to catch up!! Now you are going to be crazy busy!!! I am excited to see your Touring Plans too!! You are getting so many things crossed off that list, I need to make a new "to do" list and start getting organized. I have been throwing odds and ends in the suitcase but in no organizational manner! Almost down to the two week mark!!!!!

I actually haven't done the "in two weeks" thing before... I did post some interesting things each day (favorites for each family member, etc.) for the last 10 days last year, but I stole the "in two weeks" idea from Leslie/Lady Lallie. :thumbsup2

how cool! you are busy but sound really really on top of it! I wish I was on top of things, yikes!

You seem to be very much "on top of things" - you have so much going on too!!

Well, the two new bookkeeping jobs will help the time go by faster for you. ;)

Luckily the new job here in town isn't nearly as bad as the owner made it out to be...

You ARE crazy...but mo money:thumbsup2

and like others said..time will fly.

Mo money is always good! ;)

Hi Glen!! Glad to see you back around! :welcome:

Don't worry - DH will only be carrying the essential to the park this year and he'll have them well secured in his velcro pockets. And I think we'll skip the snow globes this year. :rolleyes1

You definitely have a full plate, but being so busy will make the time fly! It looks like your list is coming right along....being so organized will also help with the busy-ness!

I hope Zach likes camp - he's really looking forward to it since Alex has been going there for three years. I never quite know with him though... :confused3

Thanks! But I have quite a few lists hanging around too...

Sorry... thought I had enough time to reply to everyone between picking up Zach and picking up Alex & soccer... oh well - I'm back!

Wow Amy it sounds like you will be very busy so it will be nice to get your vacation in & enjoy it!! We will need to swap phone #'s soon so we can maybe meet up in AK on Saturday the 1st. I will PM you my # :)

Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet!

It's very nice to be able to work from home on my own schedule. I'm grateful to be able to do it.

ESY services seem to be inadequate for many people. We have been VERY LUCKY that our district has agreed with Alex's needs. This was the first year they weren't offering 5 days/6 weeks. We went back & forth quite a bit before they finally let us have the 5 days. They are still only offering 5 weeks, but the past couple of years we haven't used the 6th week due to another special needs camp he attends.

That's fantastic news! :woohoo: He will love it!

Busy, Busy, Busy Mama!!

Kathy

Busy - but happy!:thumbsup2

Even though you'll be busy, sounds like you have everything under control. :thumbsup2

I feel much better now that I have the new bookkeeping file in front of me. I was a bit overwhelmed and losing some sleep over it before.

If anything you're Disney crazed and there's nothing wrong with that! ;) But seriously, you seem like a really hard worker and you're right, the next two weeks should fly by because you'll be staying busy.

Disney crazed is a good thing. I'm feeling pretty organized this year so that helps. We'll see if I still feel the same way next week at this time.

My pile of "odds & ends" was turning into a mountain, but I've started getting it more organized this week. Touring plans coming up soon!

And now the first of my "in two weeks" posts...

Two weeks from today we'll be in Florida!!

Thursday, April 22:
Accuweather predicts that the weather in Orlando will be partly sunny with a high of 84 degrees, although we won't actually be in Orlando quite yet...

We have an early flight, departing at 7:55am. We’ll probably plan to be at the airport at 6:15 - 6:30, which will mean leaving the house around 5:30. Tim will dump us off at the curb where we’ll probably just sit and wait for him to park the car. Our airport doesn’t have curbside check-in. When Tim catches up with us we’ll go inside & check our bags, hopefully we won’t have 8 bags (2 free bags per person)… my plan it to have 5 checked bags – one each plus one that has the air mattresses, air pump & sleeping bags. Once we get through security & to our gate, I’ll speak to someone at the counter to get a pre-boarding sleeve. Pre-boarding really helps because it gives us the extra couple minutes we need without being completely rushed and squished with people, plus it insures we can sit two & two behind each other, so we can avoid a stranger dealing with our seat kicking... although this year I think Zach will be the one to watch as opposed to Alex who has been the seat kicker in the past - hopefully his legs are too long now!

We are scheduled to arrive in Tampa at 11:20am and then we’ll have to get our rental car. The past several trips we have rented through Alamo at MCO and been able to walk right up to our car. Alamo is not in the terminal at TPA so we just went with the cheapest in-terminal company – Thrifty. Not sure how long that whole process will take, but hopefully it won’t be too bad. Once we get our car, we’ll be on our way to Jeff’s house. It should take us about an hour to get there, maybe a little more if we stop to pick up some lunch along the way. I expect we’ll be there around 1:30 or 2:00, depending how long the rental car takes.

We'll probably just spend the rest of the day relaxing, swimming & catching up. Although I'm sure there will be a run to the store to get our essentials that they don't have...

Tune in tomorrow to find out our plans for day 2.
