Celebrating my Un-Birthday Disney Style-April 2010-New 5/3 - The TR has started!

Oh, that's too bad. :sad2:

There are lots of other options...what about Flying Fish or Kouzzina on the Boardwalk??

Kathy

Love the top you were wearing on date night. :thumbsup2 And very cool that you get to have another one on this trip! :goodvibes

I'll have to work on Tim some more. He has Shula's really stuck in his head!

Turf Club gets amazing reviews....supposedly a hidden steakhouse gem....

Oooo... I'll have to share that menu with Tim!

Wonderful Epcot pictures from last year! Teppan Edo always makes me smile when I see it! :goodvibes

Me too! :goodvibes

Thanks!! I don't wear it very often because I usually have to iron it. :rolleyes1

The ADR cancellation board is really still helpful! They post what they are going to cancel and when and you can PM the person to set something up. I got a few ADR's for our last minute trip in December by checking the thread! Good Luck!

However, DH and I and his family ate at Ruth's Chris last night (the one in Chicago) and it is amazing...the steak MELTS in your mouth. Yum!

:rotfl: I know what you mean. Chuck irons for me so when he's not around.... :rolleyes1

I wish Tim would iron! Actually he tries once in a while, but it's so painful to watch him iron the same shirt for a half hour that I take over. :rolleyes1

I also make him buy wrinkle resistant work clothes! Then I just fluff them in the dryer. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2 I'll go back over and check it out some more.

Being in the military teaches a person to iron. :thumbsup2 I don't iron his uniforms because I'm sure I would do it wrong. :sad2:

Epcot – Looking forward to 2010

Favorite Memories:
• Flower & Garden Festival – just soaking it all in!
• Teppan Edo
• Kim Possible Mission
• Soarin’

Wish List for 2010:
• Character Connection – haven’t taken the time to go there
• Illuminations (haven’t been since 2002??)
• More time for Kim Possible for Zach
• More streetmosphere (juggler, candy lady)
• Club Cool
• F&G Play areas – including a visit to Pixie Hollow
• Donald’s Boat Ride in Mexico – I think I went on the old ride a long, long time ago.

Our Plans for 2010:

Our first park day (Monday 4/26) is planned as an DHS pm. We have a 5:10 dinner ADR at Zach’s must-do restaurant, Teppan Edo. Since it’s our first park day we’ll probably head right to Epcot from DHS. We could get there as early as 1ish (after our 11:15 “brunch” ADR at H&V) or as late as 4:30ish. I will remember that it’s a long hike from the park entrance to Japan. We don’t want to have a repeat of last year when we had to pretty much run to Teppan Edo for our ADR. I’m sure we’ll visit Kaki Gori after dinner! We plan to stay for Illuminations. Hopefully we’ll get to tour some of the WS & start passports and/or masks. Since Alex insists on bringing his “Guide to the Magic” to the parks, we may just use the WS section as a passport. Maybe we’ll get to do a KP mission?? Any FW rides we get to enjoy will be gravy because we’ll be back…

Our 4th day (Thursday 4/29)!! We will be there at RD. I feel very lucky that I was able to get a 2:10pm ADR at Le Cellier for 5 just a few weeks ago (after DMIL confirmed that she’ll be joining us). I have been checking back to see if there is anything earlier and so far no luck! But I’ll keep trying… I'm also still trying for Le Cellier for our date night Tuesday. If I get it for Tuesday, I'll cancel the Thursday ADR & we'll eat dinner at Sci Fi. So for now we’ll plan to eat breakfast in the condo, have a couple snacks throughout the morning and enjoy a late lunch. We’ll spend the morning touring FW, in particular Soarin’, Test Track, SSE & Nemo. We’ll spend the early afternoon touring the WS and hopefully catching some of the “streetmosphere” that we missed last year. I really want to see the juggler in Italy – Alex would get such a kick of that! As long as I can keep him from jumping into the action. Hopefully we’ll get to do another KP mission! We are planning to hop back over to DHS that night… but if that doesn’t happen, we’ll be OK. We have the weekend to re-visit our favorites. We have a dinner ADR at Sci Fi that I’ll cancel if we aren’t able to reschedule Le Cellier. If we can get into Le Cellier earlier we may keep the Sci Fi ADR for dinner at DHS.

Those sounds like great days at Epcot! We ate at Teppan Edo in December and I cannot believe we missed Kaki Gori! :sad2: Where is it located? Congrats on getting Le Cellier! That is definitely on my next-time list!

Have the boys ever tried Beverly? That could be a fun photo op!

I love Donald's boat ride -- it's a good way to escape the crowds and heat for a few minutes!

Your Epcot plans look great -- you will have a lot of fun doing the passports with the boys -- have you done them before?

Kaki Gori is a little stand on the edge of Japan - toward the US Pavillion. I think shaved ice is all they sell there. Zach loves them - he only let me steal a few bites so I'll have to get my own this year. ;)

Your Epcot days sound great! Oh how I wish I was going along! :goodvibes

It's never too early to plan the next trip... Next year? :confused3

The boys have never tried Beverly. :stir: Zach loves soda so he'll be an easy target... Alex not so much, he is afraid to try anything unfamiliar & the fizz alone will have him making funny faces!

We've never done passports or masks either... Zach did the one KP mission in Japan and that was the extent of the kids' WS touring. Oh yeah... we rode Maelstrom without Alex & Tim - Alex was in trouble at the time. :rolleyes1

Great updates!! Love your Epcot 2009 pics!! It looks like you had a great trip!! :thumbsup2

Your plans look great!! Your wishlist sounds very similar to ours this trip. The character connection/Kim Possible and finally seeing Illuminations are all at the top of our list.;)

I've heard such great things about Teppan Edo...I would love to try it!! The boat ride in Mexico is so relaxing...it's actually one of DS favorite rides!!!:goodvibes

Teppan Edo...always a hit!

:ssst: We haven't seen Illuminations for a few years, either!! Sometimes it's good to not get burned out on the nighttime entertainment... makes it seem all fresh and new, especially to the kids!

That's the spirit!! And you've got this ADR as your back-up, so you're okay!

It's so hard to see them all the way they time the shows... hopefully they will add more performances if they're expecting a spring break crowd!

Bring on the shopping! :woohoo: And we need pix!!

Ok first...WOW...

your trip is under 3 Months now..... :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3:

I know... the fanny pack... :sad2:

Ok I just realized I had typed fanny back...I am the worst typist...:upsidedow

The troll hunting was hard! We only spotted 3 or 4. We thought the trolls were just in the one garden area, but if I remember correctly I found out after the fact, that they were all over Norway? If anybody out there knows about that let me know! I think Norway is one of the KP missions - maybe I can request that one so I can hunt for trolls while Zach & I try to save Norway. :confused3

Ok when Michael, Mae, and Margaret and I looked this past March, they were all over the Norway pav. by windows on roofs, on ledges...we found several not all but a good bit...good luck!

That's such a nice picture of you two!

Kathy

I agree Amy...that is a great picture...Matt and I have a similar one form '08 too.

:rotfl: I know what you mean. Chuck irons for me so when he's not around.... :rolleyes1

I have an ironing hubby too....though the pile get's sometimes big...he still does a better job than me.

now I am laughing at myself even more...how many times can I say "OK" in one post...:rotfl2:

Your detailed plans look great Amy! How are the play areas during the Flower and Garden Festival??? Will it be a nice little play break for my kids?? I am really excited to see the Butterfly Garden, we have one at a local zoo and everyone I talk to thinks it wonderful! One more question, what age is the Kim Possible Mission geared towards?? I am wondering if that is something Gabe could be interested in!! Thanks in advance for your advice!!!:worship:
