Celebrating my Un-Birthday Disney Style-April 2010-New 5/3 - The TR has started!

They give me much fodder to be sure

;)

Evan wasn't laughing when I made him return all monies earned through his sales activity but let the other kids (his victims) keep the baukugan's! It was mortifying at the time but awfully funny now.

And of course he still doesn't know how I found out. :rotfl2:

I refuse to check pockets on principle and by in large, it serves me well. I know them, if they thought I'd check they'd NEVER take anything out. These days it's mostly candy wrappers.

Where the candy is COMING from....one can only wonder. I am quite sure nefarious activities have happened to procure such delights as I know the state of my candy jar, and it's pathetic!

Picking my battles. As long as the magnetix, and playmobil stay out, I'm ok. Everything else is big enough it shouldn't get sucked into the filer and kill my machine (a dum dum stick though...that will take it out!)

Playmobil is the barbie shoe nightmare..for boys. Teeny tiny handcuffs, guns, flashlights (Eric is big on the Police stuff lol). Those are the current bane of my existence. Which I am feeding with the Police Advent Calendar but I couldn't resist! Of course they've taken the Santa from the farm one a couple of years ago and put him in the new jail that came with the calendar. What Santa did do deserve that...I'm not quite sure.

CUTE snow pics! No snow here yet but man is it cold! I told the boys, no snow allowed until the 1st day of break, I've got too much going on between now and then. We will see if I get my way....

Boy you are going to have great stories to tell when they are all grown up! :rotfl:

we've gotten are first set of snow here too and each morning Michael asks if it's a snow day...not yet ;) he's bummed, but not me....

Can't believe you've already had a first snow day and before Christmas....today was friged cold -15 degree windchill.... I know it will get worse...just not ready yet.

better scoot back to Egypt and clean up

J~

I was OK with the snow day this time around... I'm sure by the 5th one I'll be cursing Mother Nature.

At first, I thought Santa had made a trip to your house.

I wish we'd get snow at least once a season...:confused3 However, after our first big rain of the season a few weeks ago. The Highway Patrol reported 300 accidents on the freeways:scared1: Can you imagine if it snowed?

It's pretty funny how they set up Santa at the town holiday celebration - they lay out a rug, right on top of the snow, then put out a rocking chair. :confused3

I can only imagine the traffic nightmares snow would cause out your way! :scared1:

I owe you all some pictures... First the two snowmen:

Well I only have a picture of one snowman because the first one fell over! Poor Zach worked so hard to build his snowman last week, then he stood next to it to pose for a photo and CRASH! it fell over. :sad2: He was extremely upset. So we hung out in the rain a bit longer and put together a second snowman, which wasn't quite as nice, but here he is:

Time for a serving of Cocoa: Cocoa has been getting himself into quite a bit of trouble lately:

Tangled up in Zach's art project:

This was from his most mischevious night so far - can you tell what he's doing?

IMG_4792.jpg

The big news about "one tooth" is that Zach lost his first tooth last night!

IMG_4814.jpg

And here's a picture of our Christmas tree - we decorated it yesterday.

Here are the boys posing:

Shortly after this picture Gramma Nancy brought over an early Christmas present - I don't have a picture right now, but she gave the boys a Lionel train set for under the tree. :thumbsup2 They love it!!

I laughed out loud when I saw Cocoa's antics with the copier!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Yeay for a first lost tooth and a train for under the tree! Such fun!

Poor Zach-No one wants their snowman to fall over...:confused3

The boys look so cute playing in the snow...

I'm sure you get your fair share-I think it's lovely and so atmospheric for Christmas...:goodvibes (I remember we were in NH a couple years ago in the summer and they were already advertising a train ride...Polar Express event...I think they had a lottery to distribute tickets...I remember thinking what a perfect location it would be to do something like that...:thumbsup2

warning...baukegan's have been known to spontaneously open and attach themselves to the inside of my dryer.

They were also the hot commodity on the third grade black market...picture Evan in a trench coat dealing baukegan. Quite the salesman, there was a whole cartel!

Thankfully the boys are over those little balls of magnetic annoyance...pocket sized is not a good thing in my house.

lol!

This made me laugh too...David is younger than the two Es and Bakugan is way cool with the second grade set but they are now "banned" from schoool because they were an attractive nuisance...I can picture a whole cartel thing-no problem...:lmao:

Great installment, I love the snowman he is so cute, I love the Christmas tree it is beautiful, and the tooth picture is too cute.

It's really nice to have snow for Christmas (which doesn't always happen) but it gets old fast - by February I'm ready for spring. ::yes::

You're tree looks great. The bottom is really wide--lots of room for ornaments:thumbsup2

It's the fattest Christmas tree we've ever had. It sticks out so far into the living room! I'll have to post a picture of the train later - the tree is so fat it's hard to see the train. :headache:

Great installment, I love the snowman he is so cute, I love the Christmas tree it is beautiful, and the tooth picture is too cute.

The snowman is still hanging in there- it's been in the low 40s yesterday & today. He's lost a few pounds & some of his decorations, but he's still standing. If he can make it through today he'll be around for a while - we're entering a cold spell tonight. Shouldn't get out of the 20's for the next several days. Single digits at night. :cold:

:rotfl2: love the picture of Cocoa....

Congrats on your first lost tooth Zach :teeth:

and your tree looks so lovely Amy...great job :santa:

J~

Zach is still excited about his tooth! His second tooth is very loose too - it wouldn't surprise me if that one falls out before Christmas.

The kids did a great job helping with the tree this year. Tim took Alex to swimming at the YMCA on Sunday morning while Zach & I got the tree ready to decorate. I put up the lights while Zach unpacked all of the ornaments. He did a fantastic job and was really into it. :thumbsup2 When Tim & Alex got home we had lunch then put the ornaments on the tree. Alex lost interest after a bit, but we were almost finished at that point & it was getting hard to find empty branches on the tree.

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season & everyone is well. (Get well soon Scrappie!) I didn’t think I’d have time to update this week, but I’ve been forced to have some down time today because Zach is home with a fever & sore throat. :sad1: He’s missing his class party today & pajama & movie day tomorrow.

We are pretty much ready for Christmas here with just a few odds & ends to finish up. Zach has been doing karate for about 5 weeks now and loves it! He got his white belt yesterday & was thrilled. (The first 4 weeks were a free trial & they don’t give out the belts until you pay.) Alex has been busy checking Santa’s list. I have an app on my iPhone that has part of Santa’s list along with a blog from the North Pole. Zach has consistently been on the nice list, but Alex has either been on the nice list or been off both lists… I guess Santa is still undecided. (Is that cruel… it seems to turn his behavior around pretty quickly… and he is usually back on the nice list in no time.;))

Cocoa the elf has been busy too – not getting into too much trouble but moving around the house every night. The kids have fun looking for him every morning.

Tomorrow is 4 months until we leave for our trip!! I’m sure my focus will shift back to the trip (and the DIS) after Christmas & New Years. In the meantime I hope you all have a wonderful holiday & are able to enjoy time with your families.

Merry Christmas! :santa:

Merry Christmas Amy! :santa:

I'm sorry Zach is home sick. That stinks that he is missing all the fun at school this week. But hopefully he will be better for Christmas day!

I thought my kids were the only ones in school this week. Everyone else on the DIS seems to have started Christmas break last Friday. Tomorrow is our last day. So this week has been/will be filled with plays and parties at school. I'm about to head to the school now!

Oh! Falling snowmen are never good, I'm so glad he got a do-over! First tooth...:cloud9:

Darling tree and YAY for Lionel sets....we didn't put ours out this year, a bit afraid of what Evan's crazy cat will do if we do.

Cocoa cracks me up! Those are some priceless pics.

Aww, feel better Zach! I wish the "naughty list" worked on Evan. Sigh. That's pretty cool there is an app for it. Good thing I don't have an iPhone!

LOL on the no belt until you pay. Lord knows we've paid a lot over the last 5 years but that is SO the way it works. I'm glad he is enjoying it.

Hi Shelly! The boys have school through tomorrow. Tomorrow is actually an early release. I can't imagine having them home all week with the Christmas excitement in the air!! And two weeks off... :scared1:

Zach was having his party today, Alex has his tomorrow. Hopefully DMIL can stop by for an hour or so tomorrow so I can pop in during Alex's party. I'm the class mom and I have all the teacher gifts. I'd rather hand them out in person than drop them with the secretary.

Thanks for the well wishes... Hopefully I'll make it over to your report and get caught up soon. :rolleyes1

Merry Christmas!

The naughtly list scares Alex to death! :scared1: It's kind of funny... :rolleyes1 But of course he will end up on the nice list in the end. :thumbsup2

Thanks for stopping by to say hello!

I am intrigued by the iPhone app for Santa's list -- wish that had been around a few years ago for my two.

Hope Zach feels better soon!

Hi Jules! Zach is much better - but Tim has pneumonia now! Luckily he didn't have to work yesterday so he finally got in to see the doctor. He gave him a round of zythromax & told him to go back to see him again on Monday if he isn't much better. We'll see... Now I'm coughing too. :headache:

I love the pictures we used on our Christmas cards - DMIL had them done over the summer with J & K. It was challenging for the photorapher, but luckily we got a lot of nice ones.

Hope you guys are feeling better too!

Merry Christmas, Amy!!!

Merry Christmas Jackie!

The iPhone app was great - there's also a blog section that updated every 30-60 minutes with updates from Santa as he made his way around the world. :thumbsup2

merry christmas amy!

Thanks Jordan - Merry Christmas to you!
