Tagging sounds like a ton of fun, I wouldn't be able to do it until November either though. Christmas starts the day after Thanksgiving at my house.

No Christmas spirit for me until the day after Thanksgiving. I can't believe how many people in our neighborhood put up their Christmas lights this weekend.



Our elves arrive the night of December 1st -- I can only handle their antics for about three weeks. Connor is already talking about them and wondering what they are going to do this year. I wonder, too...

You should definitely go back for the elf -- your boys would love him!

Christmas starts the day after Thanksgiving here too. We don't like to get the tree until a week or so before Christmas. If we don't go tag one now, the selection can be pretty picked over by then. Sometimes we take a picture of the kids at the tree farm for our Christmas card. It's a beautiful day here today too - it could reach 70!

I only have Christmas on the brain because of Disney! But otherwise I like my holidays in order!! Thanksgiving comes next, THEN the next morning, LOOK out! I agree it is hard to think Christmas when the weather is so delightful!

How cool the idea of taging a tree (your're it!) Neat.

We get ours from a nursery here locally, they have santa, hot chocolate, and a big fire, and the whole lot is decorated -- the kids just love to go and be goofy while we search for ours!

Your ADRs are wonderful!! I am thinking CRT next summer, really, I won't get another chance with my boys I am sure -- so I say go for it! How fun!

I am looking forward to hearing more in the months to come! I have to get my own PTR back in order! It has been a busy few weeks so I understand!

I'm excited for CRT - today Tim asked me if I had booked it. I assured him that the deed was done!

Well the weather was perfect, but the kids' moods didn't cooperate for us to tag our tree today. Alex's mood wasn't very good to begin with - he's been in some sort of funk all weekend, all week really. I guess it even began last weekend.

We loaded up and drove to the tree farm. The complaining started in the car because DMIL, who joined us for the adventure, sat with Zach in the middle row rather than with Alex in the back. We made it there, paid our $10 deposit, got our little ticket to put on the tree and started our search. We made it to the first field and the complaining began...

"I want to go home."
"Let's just get this one." (Picture a Charlie Brown tree - 2 feet tall with 6 branches)
"I'm hot."
And even... "My butt itches!"

Finally after about 20 minutes of this I just called it quits. I headed back to the car and everyone followed.

We'll try it again next weekend...

I wish we lived in an area that had seasons....

No raking here....

No christmas tree cutting....

Those pictures of the kids are the Mario Bros...cute and funny at the same time.

love Mario and Luigi Michael would get a kick out of that too. His favorite Wii game is Mario Party. He likes to be Waluigi though.

no worries on no leaf raking yet...we haven't either, but at least the gutters are cleaned out and the deck has been cleared into the screened porch.

Now that it's dark before 5 pm here and Dh doesn't get home till 6 pm and our weekends are pretty full till after Thanksgiving...we'll be lucky if it get's done. I usually do a bunch but I have been so on and off sick lately and my walk thru the pretty wooden trail full of leaves over the weekend down to the beach in MI...turned into a new fresh cold...the leaves hate me

It's starting to look alot (or preparing has begun) like (for) Christmas....

DH would love to tag a real tree for our home...but there I go again w/ my stinkin allergies...I'd be sneezing for weeks w/ a live tree in our living room...

sorry the first tree hunt went south....you don't have to pay the $10 again do you?

and ok I can't believe I'm saying this...my Michael complains his butt itches too

Christmas for me began on the 26th of Dec of the previous yr....

but I have 3 of the 4 kids wish lists and we've drawn sibling grab-bag names back in Aug. I have a bin full of sale things and misc what nots that I bought last yr and thru the year for family, friends, teachers, and the kids. Just about everything is written down in my Holiday planner (you saw that coming huh ) and like most we start decorating the day after Turkey day...

we put up 3 artifical trees and now we have anew one for the basement for the kids ornaments...busy busy, but I love it!

When the kids were really little we used to get a Charlie Brown-ish tree. We'd stick it on a table in the corner so they couldn't pull it down. Between our lack of space and their interest in sparkley lights it worked out well.

We'll give it another shot on Saturday.

I always complain about the winter, but spring is such a great payoff when all the little flowers are poking their heads up through the ground. I like fall a lot too, but it's hard to appreciate the shorter, cooler days knowing that a harsh New England winter is just around the corner.

Raking has now been done, but Tim forgot the gutters - even though he reminded me to remind him.

Sorry you've been sick. Hope you feel better soon. I've had a cough for over a month that won't go away. It's improving - very slowly though. Tons of kids missing school this week. H1N1 is going around. One class only had 5 kids today! It's that crazy! The flu seems to be going around class by class. Zach had 5 kids out last week (out of 16). Fortunately we haven't been hit by it... yet.

Sounds like Michael & Zach have a couple more things in common - Mario & itchy bums!

I've started some Christmas shopping - but I think you beat me on that one. And 3 trees! Wow! You really like Christmas - I like it - but not that much. We'll be decorating 12/26 too.

That happened to me as well. I guess there is a certain amount of bandwidth (whatever that is) and if too many people view your photo links in a given month, it is exceeded.

Thanks!! I don't find time to do any scrapbooking for myself... I really enjoy doing it and if I'm making Christmas gifts I'm forced to make the time to get it done!

That happened to me as well. I guess there is a certain amount of bandwidth (whatever that is) and if too many people view your photo links in a given month, it is exceeded.

I remember seeing that happen on your TR... luckily I'm back to normal now.
