HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I'm all for convience...so i would just stay at SSR for the whole time and hope that you can stay in the same room. even if you can't, it'd be easier to change rooms than resorts.

Hey Nichole! So glad you are back online - not a good time to lose your internet service right before a trip! :scared1:

I'm afraid if you stay at BC or Poly your first night you won't want to leave! :rotfl: I think I'd go for the convenience of the whole time as SSR and hope you don't have to switch rooms. Too bad you can't add a day on the end of your trip for one of the other resorts! :rolleyes1 Let us know what you decide - I'm sure if you are able to get something else for the first night you guys will have a blast too!

I'd keep SSR myself - but if you don't mind switching resorts - than go for it!

I say stick with what you have planned. SSR is really nice. If you're aiming for relaxation your first day SSR should offer that. If you were at the BC or Poly I think you would be busy trying to do lots of stuff and see it all before you have to switch resorts the next day.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I think staying at SSR the whole time would be easier but if you are up for moving then I say go for it! Hope this week goes ok for all of you!

Hi Nichole! Happy Mother's Day!

I'd be afraid that my crew would be disappointed in SSR after BC or the Poly. I'd also rather spend time at the parks or relaxing rather than moving but I'm all about convenience. If you and your crew don't mind I'd say go for it!

Hope you had a nice weekend!

Ditto.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by SSR. ::yes::

 If you hop over to the DVC Mousellaneous board, there is a thread there for "SSR Owners and Lovers" that may help get you more psyched up about the resort!!

It has it's critics, but it has it's fans as well.

If your family is up for the switch, and *only* if you have a rental car, sure.

But, I generally agree that switching rooms only for the sake of one night is a lot of work!!! Plus, it is never nice switching from your preferred location to a second choice - always better going the other way! So overall I would be inclined to just stay put. For your family, I would think switching from one nite at the Poly to *anything* else would be depressing.;)

And if you *don't* have a rental car, don't even THINK about it for the sake of one night - way, way, way too much hassle.

Hi Nichole! I hope you had a great Mother's Day!:goodvibes I agree with most of the PP, I would stay put! The convenience factor alone makes it worthwhile to just stay at SSR! I hope SSR exceeds your expectations, especially since you say this will be your last trip for awhile! I am sure it will be fine....good thoughts!!:goodvibes

Having never stayed at any of these places, I can only weigh in on the convenience factor, and I say stay at SSR! I think you will be fine - I've heard great things about the relaxing atmosphere of SSR! Don't worry too much - you'll be at Disney! :cloud9:

Hello,
Been spending the last two days running last minute errands and went to the nail salon today since Thursday and Friday are going to so busy for us. Usually I respond to everyone's individually but just this once I will just do one post to everyone.

Well the family decided we want to spend the night Poly, well Tom and I really wanted beach Club put Poly will be more fun overall since it will be convenient to watch Wishes and Thomas can see Aloha Man . I just called and the CM told it's available but he also told me for our first night we have a 1 bedroom and not a studio :cool1:! I can't believe it! Now what to do :confused3 If I thought for one second we could stay in the 1 bedroom the whole time (on the points) then I would be just thrilled!! But I'm guessing well have to change rooms for sure now. What would you do? I'm probably going to stick with Saratoga and hope for the best :).

I'd stay with what you have and next time book the Beach Club! SSR is nice. You'll have fun over there.

You like SSR? It looks nice but not really my kind of place. I was definitely switching the cash reservation night until I found out about the upgrade. We figured Poly for arrival day and the next trip well book Beach Club.

I would stay at SSR. More chance of keepng the one bedroom!

If there is a chance then it's so worth it ;). Funny I was just over on your PTR while you were posting here.

Well, I don't know if I'd want to stay there before I tried a bunch of others out first but we did the DVC tour over there and it was a cute place. I am planning a meal over there in August as well. If you do get to keep the bigger room (and who knows...you just might :wizard: then you'll be a very happy woman!)

Hi Nichole! Decisions, decisions, decisions. I don't know what I'd do. :confused3

But did want to stop by and say ONLY 4 MORE DAYS!!! Woohoo!

:woohoo:

The restaurant there is supposed to be good. From what i read on the DVC board upgrades are very rare, so doubt well get to keep it for our stay. But I'm hoping for some pixie dust ;).

Decisions are hard for me ;). Think I'm just going to keep SSR after all and hope for the best. 4 more days
