Hello All~
We are heading to WDW on June 4th..staying at the AKL. We will also be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary while we are there. Does anyone have any suggestions on special requests we can make or tips that we can do to make this extra special ? Thank you for any help on this! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We did an Illuminations cruise and ordered the party for my 25th anniversary last summer. They had the best tasting cake too. It was from the boardwalk bakery. If you dont do the cruise at least consider getting a cake. It was boxed so we could eat in the hotel room too.

I'd love to hear more responses. We'll be celebrating my parents' 35th anniversary on our trip.

How about hiring a photographer for some special pictures of the 2 of you and your family (if they are going). Don't forget the romanrtic dinner for 2 with champange. There are many nice restaurants to choose from, especially in the resorts. :love2: :cloud9:

tell everyone-reservations, dining ps's and at check in that you are celebrating-it adds a little magic to the trip!
Illuminations cruise is a great time, dinner at California Grill is wonderful as well.
I also love doing the Disney photography thing too-what a great keepsake!

I would love to hear suggestions too. We are celebrating our 1 year ann. June 5th at WDW. We go engaged there as well, so it is really special for us

I would like some suggestions too! DH and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary 4/21-4/24. We were also engaged at WDW! :cheer2:

My DH and I will be spending our 25th, which is in 3 years, with our kids and whatever family would like to come. We want to renew our vows in rose garden in the United Kindgom at Epcot, dinner at Rose & Crown, and either Illuminations dessert party or Fantasmic dessert party. OR if we can swing it, do it all on the Grand 1.

We had an intimate wedding at the Poly last October, and we were done with everything at 7pm. We went to The GF and had a "Romance Dinner" for 2 on the Marina. Best money we spent(other then the wedding and Dessert Party at Epcot). We had a 5 course meal, and I arranged the White Chocolate Cinderella Slipper for Dessert. On the plate it said..Here's to a Magical Night! They put a bride and groom chocolate covered Strawberries on it too. I arranged everything by calling the GF and I asked for Private Dining. I told the nice lady(Carolyn) that I wanted to set up the Dinner on the Marina, she then faxed me the menu. All the food was fantastic! You get a private "Butler", we had Chris..he was so awesome. We enjoyed it so much, you could hear the music from the MK and we had a perfect spot for the Fireworks...I could go on and on. The total cost with tip was $250, but as I said before, it was worth every cent. We enjoyed it so much we are doing it again for our 1st anniversary and I am going to request Chris again!

We had breakfast at Cinderellas castle one morning on our 25th anniversary trip and mentioned at the check in and our waitress that we were on our 25th. They presented us with 2 glass wine glasses with the restaurants name etched in them and a decree that the princesses signed at no charge. It was great and we made it home without breaking the glasses. :)

Thanks folks these are great ideas, we are definatley checking into them.
This site is awesome..it's a "one stop site" to any and every disney question any person could possibly think of!! I LOVE it !! You guys are great!!
Thanks again :earsboy: :earsgirl:

there are some fun recreation options at wdw too like parasailing at the contemporary - me & my fiance did the tandem. one of the many behind the scene tours - our favorites were the dolphins in depth at epcot & the backstage safari at animal kingdom. i would also suggest a couples massage at the grand floridian spa, it was very relaxing.

they also make a big deal over anniversaries at the luau at the poly & hoop de doo revue at ft wilderness dinnershows. and like other disers have said mention it to cm's when making the reservation, making/arriving for ps' for dining, etc. my parents also did the royal table at mk during their anniversary & received the glasses & a personal congrats from cinderella at dinner.

We honeymooned at the Disneyland Hotel, celebrated our 10th at CBR in WDW and will celebrate our 25th at BWV in WDW later this year. I've been looking at a web site someone suggested here on the DIS called giftsofalifetime.com. They can set up "special events" while you are there. Also, Disney Florist does gift baskets.

My DH and I want to do a very small vow renewal at WDW probably when we hit our 25th (6 and a half years away ;) ). I am going to store this info in the back of my mind. It sounds perfect!

You mentioned here that you want to renew your vows at the UK at Epcot. How would I find out about this? Can you do this in any of the countries at Epcot? We have a PS for the Rose & Crown on a Friday evening hoping to get seated at an outside table so to watch Illuminations while dining. I would like to renew our vows while there but I wanted something simple and inexpensive.
Congatulations Jennick! We too will be celebrating our 25th at WDW and I can't wait!!! Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 25th last Sept. I called the Disney florist and they were wonderful! I had a special gift basket (wine, mickey wine glasses, M/M ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo porcelin bride/groom, etc.) delivered to the room for our arrival.

I also had a PS for the Cali Grill. We had a window seat for Wishes (if you havn't done this, it's a spectacular way to see the show)! I had purchased 3 pooh vases on-line at one of the Downtown disney stores. The florist was wonderful! She went out of her way and picked up the vases and made flower arrangements that were on the table when we were seated. My DW was speechless!

The trip was great and then the hurricane hit! We were scheduled to leave on Friday, but they closed the airport. We love the WL but we were stuck there for 2 days! For some time we could not even leave the room...oh well at least it was a memorable anniversary.

I'd strongly recommed calling the Disney florists. They had some wonderful ideas!

You could have a cake made and delivered to the room. I did that last year for my wife's birthday nad it was special for her to walk into the room after a day at the parks and see the beautiful cake.

You could then recreate the feeding of the cake from your wedding.

My DH and I celebrated our 25 last year and had a very special vacation. I had mentioned to the hotel that we were celebrating and when we checked in there were all kinds of surprises in our rooms, a basket of goodies for our boys, as well as champagne and speciality desserts for my DH and I. I had also booked massages for the 2 of us ahead of time and also awaiting us in our room was a gift certificate for 2 massages with the message "Happy Anniversary." The Swan really went out of their way for us and had also upgraded our room to a grand suite!!
Then my DH surprised me and had PS dinner for us at Cinderella's castle and when we seated at our table there was glitter and ribbons adorning our table and the waiter had given us 2 champagne glasses which were gift boxed with the restaurants name on the glasses.
It truly was a very special trip and one I will never forget...we even got a hurricane!!!!!

Does anyone have any info on hiring a photographer, how do you go about doing this? We are going to celebrate our 15th anniversary in August and that sounds awesome!
