CC's Weight Loss Journey

Here's how I did today. I'm really proud of myself.

Eating: Eat 22 POINTS plus at least 1/2 of the APs earned that day.
- aka: I earned 4 APs so I must eat 24 POINTS.
I earned 3 APs and ate 23.5 POINTS, so perfect!

Daily Good Health Guidelines Targets:
- Drink 6 8 oz. glasses of liquids (also for the COW). Check-actually, including milk, I had 9 glasses!
- Eat/drink 2 dairy servings. 2 glasses of milk!
- Eat 2 additional protein servings. Yes!
- Eat 1 of 2 servings of oil. 2/2!
- Eat only whole grains. Yes!

Activity: Earn at least 1 AP per day with the aim being 4 APs per day. Some suggestions include:
- 10,000 steps (1 AP) 5261 or 2.48 miles-I'll take it!
- The 30-Day Shred (2 APs) Check!
- 15 minutes on the exercise machine in my basement (2 APs)
- 20-30 min. leisurely walk (1 AP)
- The Biggest Loser 30-Day Jump Start exercise program (1-2 APs)
- A The Biggest Loser DVD or Wii Routine
- approx. 30 min. on Wii Fit Plus (1 AP) Check!

Other Goals:
1. Avoid chocolate. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Wear my pedometer daily, starting as soon as I get out of the shower. Yep!
3. Go to the gym at least 3 times. 0/3
4. Do The 30-Day Shred at least 5 times. 2/5
5. Eat as few of my WPA as possible. 0 eaten today, "ate" APs
6. Plan my breakfast and lunch in advance. Yes, but lunch had to change
7. Write in my tracker and WISH Journal daily. Check!
8. Take a multivitamin and a calcium and magnesium supplement daily. Yes-got to love that medicine organizer
*9. Lose 2 pounds!

Today has been a great day. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for exercise tomorrow. My plan is to do the 30-Day Shred and then spend as much time on the Wii Fit as possible, until 6:15 AM. Then, I have to get ready for work. If all goes as planned, I'll have had enough time to earn 3 APs. The only down side I have found to the Wii Fit (Plus) is the length of time necessary between activities/exercises. My goal for tomorrow is to warm-up doing Advanced Step and then do 2 sets of Super Hula Hoop, followed by 2 distance lap runs, then 2 sets of Super Hula Hoop, and cool down with a round of Advanced Step. That should total at least 30 minutes and 100 calories burned. Hopefully, I'll have enough time to do all of that. I'm also hoping for at least 10,000 steps tomorrow. About 9,200 will earn me another AP, but I'd love to break 10,000.

I'm exhausted though. I feel like I'm fighting a cold, like a headcold. Hoping I can wake up when the alarm goes off at 5 AM!
 
You're doing great at keeping up...I think all this journaling is really helping you stay accountable...proud of you...

Hey great job on the 5am workouts! I'm so impressed with these journals and how everyone has so much motivation to get out of bed and work out! Way to go!
 
That 5 a.m. impresses me too! I'm one of those people who thinks "There's ANOTHER 5 o'clock in the day?" But it looks like that devotion is paying off for you :thumbsup2

Okay, okay...so the encouraging thing to say would be -- wow, 5am, that's determination and wonderful, and super duper great that you're willing to get up and get your work out in....

Quick update:
4214 steps or 1.99 miles
Earned 3 APs ate 22.5 (should have had more)
Got in both COWs and all Good Health Guidelines
Overall, good day, but probably should have eaten more

Today is an off day for exercise, so I have some time in the morning to post. I'm still aiming for 1 AP for getting in 10,000 steps though. I debated putting in some time on the Wii Fit Plus, but decided that I had planned to take the day off, so that is what I'm going to do. I've already earned like 11 APs for the week, which is huge for me. If I continue at this same pace, I'll earn at least 15, if not close to 20. My goal is to get in at least 10 in a week. I'd increase my goal, but I don't want to get down in the dumps if I have a bad week. And, there's nothing wrong with a 10 AP week. Looking forward to weigh in on Sat. morning. I start my new meeting then as well. I have a feeling I'm really going to like the leader there. I weighed in there this past Sat. but didn't say for the meeting and so I already know I like the receptionist. Have a great day!
 
Here's another quick summary. I decided to go to the gym today and earn 1 AP by using the treadmill. I did a combination of brisk walking and slow jogging and felt great about it. I ate 27.5 POINTS today. So far, I've earned 12 APs and have 21 (I think) of my WPA left. For me, that's amazing. Usually, I'm down to like 10 of my WPA and have 0 APs earned.

I got in all of the Good Health Guidelines. The last two days I've had a mixture of coffee and hot chocolate. I need to buy some of the "diet-friendly" hot cocoa packets and make my own. It doesn't seem to cause bingeing either. I haven't went on a binge in days! I stuck to my breakfast plan and only added the hot chocolate to lunch today. I planned my lunch this morning. I'll have the same breakfast as today for tomorrow's breakfast and lunch will be a 6 POINT Lean Cuisine. Dinner is up to my sister.

Quick summary:
- ate 26.5 and earned 1 AP (tried more, but with TOM, well, you know)
- got in almost 9,000 steps
- stopped a binge I felt coming on
- ate a little chocolate and didn't crave more or just eat more!
- got in all the Good Health Guidelines
- got in both COWs- makes 7/7 days!

Overall, I'm very happy with the day and the last 7 days. No binges!

Quick summary again today:
- Ate 32 and earned 3-not terrible, knew it might be high, but a binge made it even higher
- 1st binge in over a week, so I know I can do it
- got in almost 5,000 steps- not bad considering my pedometer wasn't registering most of them until late-morning
- got in all Good Health Guidlines except 1/2 oils
- did The 30-Day Shred for at least the 4th time this week
- got in all 3 of the COWs

I'm looking forward to weigh-in tomorrow even though the Wii Fit Plus thinks I gained since yesterday. Hoping to make it to the gym sometime tomorrow.

At least it's been a long time between binges...next time will be even longer. Progress is such a good motivator, even with occasional slips.

Today was a binge-free day. That makes 2 in a row! I weighed in yesterday and I'm down 1.6 pounds. Very excited about that.

Quick Summary:
- ate 32.5 and earned 2 APs
- got in all the Good Health Guidelines
- 2/2 days of getting in all 3 COWs
- did The 30-Day Shred
- have 24 of my WPA remaining plus 3 APs-totally doable!
- overall, I feel good about the day

Here are my goals for tomorrow:
1. Eat no more than 26 POINTS.
2. Wake up at 5 AM to exercise.
a. BL Wii workout
b. 30-Day Shred
c. burn 100 calories on the Wii Fit Plus
3. Get in 13,000+ steps (Wear my pedometer!)
4. Go to the gym and do Day 2 of Week 1 of the Couch to 5K
5. Stick to my breakfast and lunch plan.

Breakfast:
usual oatmeal with apple (6)

Lunch:
roast beef on light bread
orange
1 cup of sugar-free, fat-free vanilla pudding (7)

That leaves me 13 for dinner/dessert. Again, totally doable. The hardest part is going to be waking up and exercising. I haven't been sleeping well. Hopefully, that changes tonight and I can get up and move in the morning. Well, off to bed!
 
Congrats on earning so many AP pts...that's great - yeah on gym, wii fit, getting your steps in, and getting in the good health guidelines
