CC's Weight Loss Journey

I hope you had a good sleep that will lead into a great day :goodvibes

Woo hoo on the binge-free days! :thumbsup2

Here's a quick summary of my really bad day.

- no clue how many POINTS I ate- it was a multiple binge day (It's all emotional eating. I've been really angry the last 24 hours or so.)
- didn't earn any APs
- didn't wear my pedometer
- was sick to my stomach (no surprise there)
- did get in all 3 COWs
- caught up on things at work

Everyone has been so encouraging, especially about exercising and not bingeing. I feel like I failed you.

My goals for tomorrow are:
- to earn 2 APs
- to wear my pedometer
- to refrain from bingeing
- to get in all 3 COWs

Hoping for a much better day tomorrow!

CC

Changed my goals for today, but just a bit:

Eating:
- max. 22 POINTS
- 8 or more 8 oz. glasses of water (COW)
- 2 veggies (COW)

Exercise-3 of:
- 10,000 steps
- C25K
- Wii Fit Plus-30 min. of step (hoping for something good on TV)
- 30-Day Shred
- Wii BL (I think today is weigh in day.)

Hoping for a really great day. Off to find my pedometer and eat breakfast.

have you tried writing why you are angry in those moments? Here's an idea okay...may or may not work...but may help you sort through this stuff...

open a notepad, word, whatever...you don't have to keep it, you can, whatever....

and write what you're angry about...i don't care how trivial it is...get your feelings out on paper/type it out...SAY IT..I am so frustrated and angry because.......

then, when you've written it out. Sit and read it....take a deep breath. If you still want to eat, then eat...but you've allowed yourself to work out some of those emotions first, which should help defuse it a bit

Solar, that's a great idea about the writing. The anger has to come out, but you can choose how to let it out. Make the writing a choice as an alternative to the binging.

Thanks Deb and Barb! I will definitely try writing more. I'm also working on checking in with myself on how I'm feeling emotionally more frequently to try to "catch" the anger before it turns into binge eating.

Thanks again!

Today was a bad day. I ate a lot-multiple binges. I'm starting fresh tomorrow. I'm going to WW because I go on Saturdays and I need to know how much damage all my bingeing did. Plus, my weight could be over 140 again and I need to know how many POINTS I have at minimum per day. I'll set some new goals for the week tomorrow after I weigh-in. I'm going to set a few for tomorrow now, though.

1. Wear my pedometer.
2. Get in all 4 COWs.
3. Go to the gym and do Week 1, Day 1 of C25K.
4. Do some other exercise, like:
- Wii Fit Plus
- BL Wii
- BL workout DVD
- 30-Day Shred

Breakfast tomorrow will be my usual oatmeal creation. Lunch will probably be a roast beef sandwich. Dinner-not sure yet, depends on our trip to the grocery store.

Thanks for reading!

I've decided that I need some type of motivation to lose these last 20ish pounds other than my sister's upcoming wedding. It just isn't doing it. So, here is my plan. I'm going to bribe myself. I'm going to go to the bank tomorrow and exchange $20 for dimes. That will give me 200 dimes for the week. For every goal I achieve during the week, I'll put a dime in a container. I'm going to "save up" for a pedicure or something similar. Here are my goals for the week.

Everyday:
1. Track 100% of my POINTS eaten and earned.
2. Get in the 3 non-exercise COWs.
3. Have a binge-free day.
4. Wii Biggest Loser Game or 30 min. Wii Fit Plus (COW #4)
5. 30-Day Shred
6. 10,000 steps (Hopefully, my pedometer will not reset during the day.)
7. Avoid chocolate.

Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday: Week 1 of C25K

Saturday: Go to WW and weigh-in.

Sat. or Sun.: Plan lunches for the week & buy necessary items.

Monday-Friday: Eat only what I planned for lunch.

Lose 2 full pounds!

Hoping for a better week!

Thought I should add that I got in all 4 COWs and walked over 10,000 steps today. I also went on multiple binges. Will definitely have to work on responding more appropriately to stress, anger, etc.

I weighed-in this morning it I'm up at least 4 pounds. I'm not exactly happy about that, but I know why, so there is some light at the end of the tunnel. I've decided to focus on eating within my POINTs and avoiding binge eating and chocolate this week. So, here are my revised goals:

1. Eat 23 POINTS per day.
2. Get in all 4 COWs.
3. Avoid chocolate.
4. No binges.

Next week, I'll work on incorporating more exercise into my day. I'm still aiming for 10,000 steps and additional exercise, but I'm not going to feel like a failure if I don't get either in for the day. My goals are the above four.

So far today: No binges, 4/8 glasses of water, 20 min. of exercise, 10 min. of "me" time, no chocolate, 2/2 veggies, and I've eaten 13 POINTS. Dinner is crab stuffed cod with more veggies and salad, so I'll probably have room for a snack later. I'm thinking popcorn.

Good for you to look at those pounds in terms of the cause and what you can do about it. :thumbsup2 That's exactly the right place to put your energy.

I want to mention this book one more time also..."Eating in the Light of the Moon"....((hugs))

Food has always been my choice in dealing with life, emotions, whatever comes my way, and it soothes me...but by tackling it one tiny bit at a time, I've gained control over it in most instances...took a long time, but the more you become aware what's going on...checking in, being accountable, it will help you.

Hang in there...stick with it, keep journaling, and right now aim for more good days than bad days...okay? :)

Get the binge foods out of your house...and find something you REALLY enjoy that is healthy in it's place...you can tackle this...looking at it, really pulling it apart and inspecting it...that's how you fix it

Keep moving ahead, one meal at a time, one day at a time...you can do this!

Thanks Deb and Barb! I had a binge free day and ate 23.5 POINTS. I even got in over 8,000 steps, which is huge for a weekend day. I got in all 4 COWs and most of the Good Health Guidelines. I think my plan for the week will be a good one. Right now, I need to focus on stopping bingeing. I don't think I'll be as successful if I worry about achieving so many other goals.

Thanks again for your helpful responses Barb and Deb!

Here's a quick update about yesterday:

1. I ate 27.5 and earned 0. Still have 30.5 of my WPA left.
2. Got in 20 min. of exercise/all 4 COWs. (At my weight, 20 min. doesn't earn 1 AP.)
3. No binges!
4. No chocolate!

Overall, a great day.

Hoping for another one today.

I had a great breakfast, got in a workout (BL Wii), and then came lunch. I was really really really hungry. I didn't binge eat, I was just hungry. And, I ate a lot. I have 2 POINTS left for dinner. I'm not worried because I have 30.5 of my WPA left, plus I earned 2 APs today. I'll probably end up having a 4 POINT WW Smart One because my other option is a pasta filled soup, which is not something I particularly like.

Pushing close to 2,000 steps. It's in the 40's here, so I may get in a short, leisurely walk. I was hoping to go to the mall today and get in some steps there, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Idk, thouh, it's still up in the air.

No binges today! Here's a quick summary:

1. Ate 25 and earned 2.
2. First really exercise of the week. (BL Wii)
3. My pedometer reset so the total is about 2,500 (so just over a mile-not bad for taking 2 naps, sleeping late, and not working)
4. Only chocolate was a Skinny Cow Fudge Bar
5. Got in all 4 COWs and all GHG except 1 tsp. of oil

And, again, no binges! That makes 3/3 days of my WW week. The support has been so helpful.

Hi CC! I really like your idea of rewarding yourself for every goal you achieve! That way you're rewarding what you do instead of the number on the scale. Awesome!!

I'm seeing a nice pattern here...lack of binges for a few days...way to go!

checking in....wanted you to know proud of you for being honest with your accountability all this time...and just keep at it one day at a time - you can do this!

Wow, great to see how well you're doing to avoiding those binges! The success is really building. Be very, very proud of yourself. :thumbsup2
