Just wanted some opinions...

We have someone in the family that has difficulty walking long distances but we need to choose between CBR and Coronado (which I heard are huge and sprawling).

In terms of walking to the main pools and the food courts, which would be better?
Also, for our kids, are the pools at one of these resorts better than the other?

I've done a lot of research on this thread between the two, and one piece of info that will help people answer is how old are your kids? I have read that the CBR pool is great for smaller kids, I think it has zero entry. We chose CSR, the pool looked really cool to us (our kids are 9-16) and we are going to the beach after so didn't really need a beach theme! I also have read over and over how CBR is very large and people seem to think it involves the most walking of all of the moderates. We booked preferred at CSR.
I've never actually stayed at either so hopefully many more will chime in!

The plus or minus depending on how you look at it is cbr the pool and food are next to each other.
The pool is also much more kid friendly
Cbr seems larger to me, but it also has a island cut through to make walks shorter

I think CSR business class would be your best bet (located between the food court and main pool).

They are both large but we thought CSR felt smaller and the size was more manageable. We also liked their main pool better at CSR. Neither food court was anything to write home about, but we really disliked CSR's. It's operated by a third party vendor and everything is made to order so we felt food quality varied greatly and it also took a lot longer. CBR was more standard QS and was more consistent.

Coronado looks so pretty. I love teal and brown! I think about this all the time as an option.

nkereina, is it still true about the food court being operated by a third party? I've read about this, but can't remember if this is still the case or not. Thanks!

I think a lot depends on where your room is situated within a particular resort. A bad room at one will mean more walking than a good room at the other. We stayed in building 8b at CSR and found it to be a perfect location for the buses and pool.

Slightly further to the main food court but we only ate there once and occasionally picked up park shopping from the resort shop. It certainly wasn't a problem with the amount of walking.

The flip side of the resort being larger is it is much more spread out, I prefer that to All a Stars which can feel a bit clostrophobic at times.

We actually really liked the food court in March this year. A good variety of dishes and fairly good value on the dining plan. The main issue is co-ordinating your party so that all the orders from the various stations are ready at the same time. I had ribs and others chose pasta, I had nearly finished as there was a long line at the pasta station. The food was typical of other quick service locations.

I'd pick CSR! And yes, the food court is operated by the same group that operates the Mexican restaurants at Epcot
