CBR to International Gateway?

The International Gateway entrance to Epcot looks temptingly close to the CBR, but am I right that it is a classic you-can't-get-there-from here problem?

That is to say, I understand that there's no direct bus to International Gateway from the CBR, and even with a PS for a restaurant in the Epcot resort area, I couldn't park my car there all day.

Any tips or ideas?

You don't say when you want to get there or leave, so it's a little hard to make recommendations.

If MGM is open, you can drive and park in the MGM lot (or you can take a bus to MGM). Once there, you can either walk to the IG (I'd estimate it's about 1 1/4 miles) or you can take the boat (allow about 30 minutes). THere is a walkway and it is lighted at night.

If you want to drive and park at the BW, you will be directed to the lot across the street. Disney is trying to keep people from parking in the closer lots so that guests staying at the hotel have a place to park. From there, it's about 3/4 of a mile to the IG entrance.

If you want to spend the day at EPCOT and then eat on the BW, my advice is to just take the bus to EPCOT. Enjoy your day and then use the IG entrance to walk to the BW area for your PS. When you are ready to leave the BW, take a cab back to the CB. Cabs are quick, easy to get at the BW and not very expensive to the CB. (Should be around $10).

HTH.

Above is good advice. CBR entrance is less than 1/2 mile from BoardWalk which is right by the IG entrance. If your question goes to whether you can walk over, the answer is no even though the distance is short. They do not allow walking outside the resorts along the highways and the one between CBR and BW is 6 lanes with no sidewalk.

You could take a bus to MGM and boat or walk over to the International Gateway.
