We are planning our frist trip with kids (dd 10, dd 5) in November. We have a reservation on hold at CBR. From reading these boards, it seems that the preferred buildings would be either Martinique or TN. My 10 year old is a little on the lazy side and I don't want him to be tired of walking before we even get to the park (If he has to walk a ways to the bus stop or something).

Our reservation is for a standard room. Should I upgrade to waterview? I think I would prefer that anyway, just because.

We made our reservations through Disney. Do I make special room requests re: location through them or how is that handled?

Thank you in advance for any information.

If you have a child who is going to complain while walking to the bus stop I wouldn't book a water view room. The bus stop would be a whine each time. I stayed in Trinadad North and we had a garden room standard. It was close to th parking lot and the bus stop. It was the last stop for pick up and the buses were often filled. It think it would be better if you would catch th bus from OPR

Martinique #24 has also been our requested location at CBR. One of the bus stops is right in front of it and you're close to the food court. As for a waterview, we weren't in our rooms enough to enjoy one anyway, so we get the garden view.

After just staying at the All Star Music for the first time, I found that I really missed the close proximity that we had to everything at CBR.

The waterview is a waste of money, Ask for a courtyard which is an inside room faced what else, a courtyard. This a standard rate room.We stayed on the ground floor and you open the door and voila. just ouside the room. The bus stop for TN is in between bldg 31 and 32. 2 minutes away. I don't know the locations for the other villages. Have a great time

Another tip if you have a small child who is going to complain about walking: request a first floor room. We were on the 2nd floor in Martinique 25, and while the location was perfect, you have to walk half way around the building (depending where your room is) to get to the steps, which can be a pain.

My DF sent a fax in three days before we left to the room controller at CBR requesting politely for either Martinique 25 or Trinidad North 32. We made no other requests and that was the only time we made the requests. Upon check in (we got there WAY early) were told our room would not be ready til later in the day but that we did get the building we had requested. I don't know the fax number but its listed in Passporter and on Deb Wils' wdwig.com website I'm pretty sure. Hope that helps! :) Have a great time, its a beautiful resort.
