? Cat 2 and 3 suites

We are planning a trip Dec 2006 around christmas. I know this is a very busy time and prices will raise. I am just trying for a estimated guess.

I was curious if anyone has ever booked a cat 2 or 3 suite during the holidays and what was the cost? I am sorry to be nosey but am working on different room costs.

We are looking at a either a cat 2 or 3 suite and 1 stateroom or 3
staterooms. We want to have a great room and a verandah.

We (3 adults) just cruised in Cat. 3 on the NYE Magic. Total cost was about $9,500...I can't recall exactly.

When looking into those rates for my family, I was given quotes in the 12,000 range for a cat. 2 suite.

Cruises on the Magic are 7 nights.

Just a note, the Christmas cruise for '05 was released recently. We received a cat. 3 that we requested by faxing inventory control over a year ago. In the fall we changed the request to a cat. 1 or 2, but still only received the 3 (we are very happy with the cat. 3!). When I called DCL a couple days after the dates were released the CM told me that all cat. 3's were sold out the day (and maybe before) the cruise was opened for reservations. I would highly recommend asking your TA (we used DU) to fax inventory control to increase your chances of getting the cat. you want. We are currently waitlisted for the cat. 1 or 2 and keeping our fingers crossed!
