Castaway Cay Fishing Adventure - How likely will I be able to book it?

Hello all,

We are going on another cruise in November a member of my party just mentioned wanting to book the Castaway Cay fishing excursion (the one where they troll for fish) with how small are on the boats I can only assume it may be harder to get.

Anyone know if this is something I'll actually have a shot at booking as a Silver Castaway or is it like the Cabanas where its not going to happen LOL!

Going to be on the Dream if that makes a difference

We’re silver and we were able to book it for our cruise that we’re going on in a couple weeks.

This is a private adventure for 4. We were fortunate enough to have booked it as gold, and it was immediately marked as sold out after (Fantasy). There was only one time slot and one boat that day- so we were the only family that were able to book. We had a great time, and all caught barracuda (as well as other fish) but it was extremely hot as there is no shade!

It all depends on how many are interested- I wish you good luck trying to get!

Were you a party of 4? What ship are you on? Did you book it the day it was open or did it stay available and you booked it later?

Good to know! I guess I'll be rushing in hoping for the best and see what happens. Worst case honestly I don't think you can have a bad time on Castaway Cay!

We were a party of 2 going on the Fantasy. We booked it the day it opened for silver CC members.

You are absolutely correct- we had rain and I still felt like this was our best trip yet.
Even if we had not done the fishing trip, we had a great time and would have been happy.

Last time we went we didn't book anything at castaway ahead of time and had a blast. We snorkled and biked and just enjoyed exploring the beach.

Were you able to book? I feel like they used to have other fishing adventures on CC and this looks to be the only one now.

Do you recall what time it departed? I assume the fishing trip was most of the day at CC? (I know it says 2.5-3 hrs) We have done the cabana in our previous 4 visits with biking, snorkeling, and parasailing once so trying to determine if this is something we should try for something different (tweens love to fish - but read someone got a bit seasick on one trip bc seas were rough and of course, you feel it with a small boat).

Any feedback appreciated! Thanks in advance.

My husband and son did this on our CC visit earlier this month. They had to be off the ship as soon as they docked and I think they made it back to our cabana around 1:15PM? It was definitely all morning but they made it to the island in time for lunch.

My son is mildly sensitive to motion sickness and didn’t complain about it.

Ours was after lunch at 1:15- they charter this from main island (it is not Disney staff) so it may vary based on availability and who they use 🤷🏼‍♀️

We were not able to book it, I'm normally SUPER quick at snagging things so I think it sold out with a previous castaway level. Still plenty of amazing things to do tho :)
