Wonderful trip report!!! I don't want it to end! You made my morning :goodvibes. I love Vegas and haven't been in 8 yrs. The first time we went in Oct. 1999 for our 5 yr anniversary we stayed at the Luxor. We had a tower room. I wish I'd known about the airport views. I LOVE watching the airplanes. I would've definitely requested an airport view room. Thanks for the tip! I keep telling DH its time for our Vegas fix. Love the pictures of the food! Everything looked soooo good! I know what you meant about the prices. Eating in Vegas can be expensive. Adds up fast. You guys are my kind of eaters. Very simple. That's how DH and I eat. Instead of burgers we get chicken sandwiches and fries. I LOVE waffles also. When we vacation we don't have to eat at the fancy restaurants. People laugh at us. Oh well. Plus it saves money. My favorite is the RIO buffet. Food is sooo good!

We have a lot in common because I'm one on scents too. Love the smell at Mandalay Bay. We also have stayed at Aladdin (now Planet Hollywood) and the rooms smelled good there. In Disney, the Disney Hilton (located in downtown disney) had the best scent I've ever smelled when traveling. I started to ask what fragrance they use in their rooms so my house could smelled that way :lmao:.

Glad you enjoyed the Cirque shows. I love Cirque. My favorite show is Mystere

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary! You and Rob make such a cute couple! Kira is adorable as well. I know she was glad to see mommy. I say Mandalay Bay for your 11th anniversary. Those deals are calling your name :wizard: .

Thought I would post those little videos I had taken in Vegas.

They are not the greatest quality, they are from my Digital Elph camera, not a camcorder.

First one is at the Flamingo. They were blasting the music at the entrance. Not only was it so annoying that it made me NOT want to enter but it also had really inappropriate music playing

I had to laugh when I heard this fountain show...the music is from the 1988 Winter Olympics, which were held here in Calgary!! It was written by David Foster and is great music, just thought it was funny they were playing Calgary Olympic music here :lmao: I only caught the end of it because we were just pulling up to the Bellagio as it started.

That's it, thanks for watching :goodvibes

Cass,

Nice TR.

I watched the video of you leaving LV. Let me guess, you were on an Airbus A320?

I could hear the lawn mower sound of the the engines in the background. First time Suz and I were on one of those planes we just looked at each other and wondered if it would make it.

I actually like flying in those planes now - providing they aren't too cramped.

Great report Cass!:thumbsup2

And you look fantastic. You've done so well with all your exercise!

It looks like you had a great trip. And you eat like I do. Lots of meat and potatoes, and I like mine with no pink either.

Did you guys do any of those extreme rides that are supposed to be on top of one of the hotels in Vegas? Ones that go right over the edge of the building?

Cass, thanks for sharing your trip report!! I can't wait to read about your next adventure!! :)

As we descended the escalators into MB, I fell in love….with the smell! OMG, it smelled gooooood in here!

You see, I’m a smell girl, as Rob likes to call me. I never thought of myself as having a sensitive nose but I like me a good smell!!! I often remember things from their smell. Good and bad. It’s one of my least favourite things about going to Disney World, you come across a lot of really stinky people. In Vegas, however, you come across a lot of good smelling people. For me, what turns my head is not a good looking chap, but rather a good smelling one! I still remember walking into the Tropicana the very first time ten years ago, I was walking past a very well dressed gentleman who was getting into his car. He wasn’t particularly good looking, but he smelled fabulous!!!!!! While my body continued to walk away, my nose lingered a few extra seconds just so I could smell him. LOL!

Continued in the next post....

note to underdog.:rolleyes1 dust off my 30 year old bottle of BRUTE cologne
and take it with me on the BOB cruise.:cool2: :rolleyes1 :lovestruc

Hahah, yeah I don't think Rob wants to go back for awhile but I am willing and able :thumbsup2 I also stayed at the Disney Hilton in 2003 and remember it smelling really good! Snobby but good-smelling ;) Thanks for reading the report, sounds like we are similar creatures ;)

Nope, Westjet only owns 737's. They are awesome though :thumbsup2 TV's for every guest and leather seats plus they have a great attitude.

And they always have a sense of humour, when they were doing their safety spiel one girl said very non chalantly "And please no smoking, if you are caught smoking, you will be asked to leave immediately"

:rotfl2: :lmao:

Great report Cass!:thumbsup2

Thanks Rose, I still have a long way to go :rolleyes1

We decided to skip the rides on the Stratosphere. We did the rollercoaster (no longer there) and the Big Shot many times already and the other rides didn't really interest us, plus they are sooo expensive

Cass, thanks for sharing your trip report!! I can't wait to read about your next adventure!! :)

Nope, that song is called Claire De Lune by Claude Debussy, but it is very similar though and it makes for a very nice fountain song :thumbsup2 Thanks for reading :goodvibes
