Cash Reservations Paid with Disney Visa Points

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes --- Can someone use their Disney Visa Rewards pointsto pay for their cash reservations when checking out or even when making the reservation.

I'm attempting to do a "free" trip. I currently have 130 points and am use my Disney Visa for everything. I'm thinking by next summer, I'll have enough points for one night for a cash reservation.

Another idea --- Do you think it would be better to just use the first weekend nights at a Value night with an annual passholder discount? I don't really like the value resorts, but could deal with it for the first couple of nights.

You can use the rewards points for either. Where you wnat to stay is up to you opinions vary here. I personally bought my points with the intention of staying put however if it ever came to where I come in late on staurday and have a car I may stay offsite but that has not happened yet and being I buy my plane tickets well in advance I hopefully will not. I lokk at the cost over a week not a day. I once used my points for 4 weekend nights and 5 weeknights in one trip But I was happy not moving. I may not do that again as I would just schedule the same amount of days but starting on a week day mainly to avoid the extra crowds on weekends.
