Cash reservations for Vero Beach?

Who handles cash reservations for VB? Would I be able to do this through MS, or is it CRO or the resort direct?

I'm thinking of making back-up reservations incase I can't get rooms on points at 7 months - is the cancellation policy the same as for WDW resorts?

If I was able to make a cash reservation at VB, are there discounts for members, or are they only for non-DVC resorts in WDW?

You might want to start with MS to see if they have any member discount rooms available.

I think CRO could also help make reservations or you can make them on-line at www.disneyvacationclub.com. If you wnat to give it a try, my 2002 Birnbaum book lists 800-359-8000 as the number to call to make a reservation with that discount. It might still work.

I've made cash reservations for VB twice - once I used the Disney Club 800 number and once I used the number that Pam posted. I know that you can also just call CRO or the resort directly (they'll transfer you somewhere to make the reservation).

I'd start with MS also. But if MS has rooms with the member discount available, it's a pretty good bet that you won't have trouble securing a points reservation at your 7 month window.
