Well, we are rewarded for our patience with a visit from Yuri.

I actually caught some of it on DS's Droid (is that what it's called ?) on the way to the Dr (listening) and at the Dr (watching). Then the Dr came in, and I put it down, DS reaches over and turns it off or did something and when it was time for me to leave the room (for actual physical), I had NO IDEA how to get it back. So I was sitting in the waiting room, trying to get on the DIS (finally did) on my phone. And then we had to leave. But yes, always nice to see Yuri.

It was pretty funny tho trying to get the feed on DS's phone...I felt like Woody in Toy Story (first one) frantically trying to get the batteries in the monitor so they could find out what presents Andy got! LOL

Got home at 11...catching up!

Kronk lives in Saint Cloud? Oh snappy snap! No wonder I saw him at Publix - that is where I live!

KF having a hard time getting the computer to work so JB says "we'll get a kid to help you"

smaller molecules move faster than larger---some compounds close together so you have to run it again--compare to known standards(bought from chemical company for pure sample and you insert into GCMS) to make sure the peaks match---can't determine how much of a specific chemical is there without running it against known sample in varying (potencies)---Basically it can give you an idea of what amount is in there but not the actual amount


Each peak has a different color to aid in identifying---each color is a different chemical
Now discussing human barcodes---they have ones for living and deceased---living barcodes vary greatly whereas the dead ones are similar

Barcodes identify chemicals found in different items---dogs, humans, beef, chicken,fish

says there's quite a bit of overlap between human and animal remains

Goal is to narrow chemicals down to determine human remains---different types of chemicals have different sources---cites 8 studies done on human remains

Yellow highlighted section is Dr Vass' findings which have been compared to other findings----

Some studies similar some are very different--Oakridge studies body at varying stages and this shows the total of all those findings---KF says correct

Need to find out what the most important compounds of decomposition are

JB asks about %'s shown---general consensus of different studies completed and their different methodologies---This summary chart has 4 (really big words for chemicals) that are the most prevalent

JB asking about the trash from the trunk picture---KF saying each item gives off different volatiles

JB fatty acids on paper towels...what items are they found in----found everywhere...milk products....same compounds found in humans

JB opinion as to whether the compounds unique to human decomposition---no...no scientific method that can determine significance

JB asking about chloroform...quantitative analysis form Oakridge--No

JB why important to do quantitative analysis---so you can know the concentration of compounds to determine where compounds may have come from ie consumer products

JA objects to KF saying chloroform found in lots of common products in low amounts and can be found in bleach

Funny! Not only am I in the house all day, but I've got the blinds closed because the light makes a glare on the TV. I should at least be slathering myself up with tanning moisturizers while I'm sitting here. (Last week I had DH and DS bring the treadmill in here...really need to get on it. )

OK this just makes absolutely no sense. So they are saying George disposed of the body, but they are also saying Kronk moved it, and I guess applied the duct tape? Where did Kronk get the body? What would be the point of moving the body? I guess since Kronk had George's duct tape, they were working together? I think their point in bringing Kronk up was that we could not trust the recovery site, their way of getting the duct tape out of the picture. But they haven't done that, yet, anyway. Or said anything about what role George played in this at all.

I hope the jury sees through this, it just does not make sense.

Ok I'm reading the motion to determine competancy and a couple of things have stood out.


Page 4 of 10 lists 6 items they want to make sure of.

Numbers 4---5 and 6!!!!!!!!!!!


4--Disclose to her attorney facts pertinent to the proceedings at issue.

5--Manifest appropriate courtroom behavior

6--Testify relevantly

I wonder if Casey made the defense stop questioning Lee. And wouldn't let them ask about abusing her. Maybe she really couldn't put her brother thru the lies. That might lead the lawyers to say she wasn't cooperating in her defense.

Whatever happened to the "missing" witness, the woman last seen in a bar somewhere, maybe June 14?? Do we have a name/update for her?

KC is likely not going to take the stand if her defense team was alleging she is incompetent.

That may be one reason to see if she is competent, because they have nothing and grasping anything in sight. She is the only one who can verify sexual abuse. He certainly is not going anywhere with his drowning theory. I think Perry should ask the question again as to where this is all going. Putting her on that stand would certainly not be in there favor. Casey would be all over the place.
