Casey Anthony Trial Thread #3

you know - i still don't understand how an expert witness can testify about anything based on a photograph

he didn't see the car until 2 years later - everything had been taken out, moved, bagged and tagged.

he's basing his testimony on pictures - you can't do that - well apparently you can but how is that even allowed.

ICA laughing at the pig in blanket comment showed the jury who she is :confused3

Just to show how impartial I can be, I will defend Casey on this one. Even when under great duress, I am able to laugh when something is amusing. Granted, my duress has never involved being on trial for killing my child, but I do think asking Casey to remain morose looking throughout the entire trial is asking too much.

How'd I do with the impartial thing? ;)

I truly believe that she does deserve a fair trial. No one knows for sure how this jury is thinking. I see this from the point of a 31 day of not reporting her child. If Caseys mom had no been so insistent in finding out where Caylee was who knows how long before this would have been discovered. You can only put off lies for so long. I am greatful that Cindy took the initiative and called the police, but after making Casey get on the phone with the police she was as cool as a cucumber and so somber just the same way she is acting in court.

Unfortunatley this man on the stand is in the midodle of all this stuff never expecting any of this. He may reconsider his position. I am sure Baez is not happy today either. But Mr. Ashton did what he needed to do. And that rendered a whole different response from the man. But I am glad for everyones opinion and can discuss it with everyone. It is really awesome to learn alot from other people that someone else may not have thought of. Thank you everyone for this discussion on here.

Flamed? No. But because your opinion is different from others on this thread, or you have a different approach, we're all emotional and hate filled and not "academically" interested in the case?

And you keep saying you're over this case, and yet out of everyone, I think you're one of the few who has posted on the thread from 3 years ago, all 3 of these threads, and the "why Casey Anthony" thread, where you argued why the Casey Anthony case shouldn't get this much attention, yet you're doing it yourself, as I said, on 5 different threads. I get having a different opinion, but why bring in trying to trivialize other's opinions here? :confused3

Whatever. You're welcome to your opinion. Just don't see basically the putdown of most people here. :confused3

Thanks for saying the thoughts I couldn't put words to.

Been a long week folks. First round is on me :cool1:
Heck, its Friday so I don't care about the calories- I'll have a Mudslide.:woohoo:

You are correct photos cant do anything. They were not photographed inside. This man has a long way to go for understanding everything his talking about. He also needs to bare in mind to do your own testing and not take someones word for it. If thats the case all his degress are in vain and you dont want to figure it out yourself.

Dr. Tim said that he had been working with dead bodies for a number of years, I found it odd that after smelling the car two years later he admitted there was an odor, but he neglected to say that it was definetly not a dead body smell. He's familiar with death so IMO the smell should have been a sure sign.

It seems like everyone's a bunch of psychics on this board!

I will take a cointreau slushie from EPCOT France, please! Mmmmmmmmm!

I am waiting for JBP to close the courtroom to the public due to the crazy fights breaking out.

And this Vasco Thompson press conference cracked me up! Thompson didn't have the phone number until 2009 and the phone calls were made in 2008? Did Baez not check anything!?!? And Thompson has a kidnapping conviction from a domestic dispute? Holy cricket! I'm sure he didn't want that to come out to the national public! Talk about airing your dirty laundry and they're calling it a backfire for the defense! Good one HoseA! Bra ... vo (accompanied by slow clap)!!!!

They're talking about how many peoples lives have been shattered by this case, naming Vasco Thompson, Zenieda Gonzales, and Roy Kronk. However, it appears there may be more as some chick from HLN says they're going to discuss the rest of the people on the list later on tonight. I have to tell you, I do feel bad for those people whose names have been dragged in and who've hand nothing to do with it. :sad2:

And yet, he testified the car STILL smelled! 2 years later and no carpet or anything was left. It stunk!

Frozen margarita w/salt please! But it's on an empty stomach so I better get some chips and queso or guacamole to nibble on or I'll get too "happy" too fast

And while we're winding down, let's have a look at some of Casey's facebook posts for fun. I thought this one stood out:

I didn't understand that either. :confused3

At one point, didn't he say he smelled something and it could have been garbage or decomposition? How does an expert say it could have been one or the other? I am lucky enough to never have smelled decomposition but I have learned from this case that if you smell it, you will never forget it. Yet, this guy throws out there that it might have been a garbage smell? Either he isn't really an expert, he is lying for the defense, or he needs to go to an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor.

I'm no expert but I can't imagine that trash/garbage with no food in it would smell the same as a rotting body.

Dr. Tim was on the stand all day, and the only thing I took from it was him admitting that there was still an odor in the car 2 years after the trash was removed. Forget pigs in a blanket, stains on a carpet, he admitted that there was still a smell in that car 2 years later.

I also LOVED when Ashton took the garbage out and made him own it. There was NO food in that bag!

I do think there is some shadiness going on. He keeps contradicting himself and Mr. Ashton is calling him out on it. You would know that smell without hesitation if you worked that long around it. There was no food, that was very much established today. So no trash smell from food, so what else would be in there smelling. A PIG? I hope for Baez's sake that he is really not getting people to lie I would hate to think what it could do to this trial.:headache:

Does a decomposing human smell differently than a decomposing mammal ?

I have smelled plenty of decomposing, dead animals, so was just wondering.
