Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

Does anyone think that her new mommy/lawyer has told her it might look bad if she turns on the fake water works if/when they show the video?

I respect her and think she's awesome, but this bothers me. How can that be true? I can't believe that there aren't a few accidental drownings where the people panic and don't report it and, um, ditch the body.

I think she said they were all reported "unless there is a reason."

If the parents were high when it happened, fighting, or they deal drugs, they don't want the police to show up for fear of other charges resulting beyond the accidental drowning. So while these were true accidents, the part of her testimony that they are always reported "unless there is a reason" would still stand.

Must be less biased than it sounds and more of a picture representation of prosecutions/ME explanation of how Caylee metamorphosed into the to her condition at the time she was found.

Now, I do know that "recreations" are admissible as evidence. I guess this is why it is being allowed.

I wonder if Defense will present a video of their own.
What they want to show is the tape over her face, not just her bones.
Morbid as it may be, I wish I could see the video.
Me too.
We may because JP never gave the same instructions for the video as he did for the crime scene photos---at least not that I heard
If it involves her actual skull, they won't show it.

Yep. She watched the video already & didn't react. Let's see if she does the head down/ eye dabbing scruchy face crying with the jury present.

That's not true; she reacted. I'm surprised the monitor didn't blow up from the evil look she was giving to it!!

All these science-y people are so excited about their subjects and eager to share that they end up talking so fast!

From what I gather, Dr G did not open the skull when she did her autopsy. The defense then hired this other doctor whose results differ from Dr G. He DID open the skull and supposedly found sediment on one side of the skull. The skull was found upright . Their contention, I think, is that the skull was moved because the sediment shows the skull was lying on its side... I think thats it.

Can always count on you for info! TY!

But, the body was out in the woods, and there had been a ton of water at some time. Obviously, parts of her body (bones) were moved by animals...why is it so unbelievable that the skull would move, by an animal, or water movement? BUT...when her body was found, didn't whoever called it in say that someone might have kicked the skull? That makes me wonder if they're providing an explanation before the question has really been asked, KWIM?

The body had been in the woods for a number of months & there was reported flooding as well as animal activity with the body/bones. I think I would have been more surprised to find that it had NOT been moved.

Ever wonder if Casey, while sitting there listening to the prosecutors, wants to correct them? Like, "No, that's not how it happened...first I did THIS and then I did THAT!" ;)

Wow.....Casey does not look happy at all. This must be powerful. I don't know how I could keep it together at this point.
