Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

Maybe this was already touched on but I wanted to ask you all your thoughts.......if defenses theory was that Caylee drowned.......why is it she was buried with clothes on? After retrieving her little body from the pool, GA and CA took her in the house, removed her bathing suit and dressed her in that pink T and shorts? Was that discussed at all? TY

And actually, in opening statements JB made it sound like (to me) that this happened in the early morning. Like CA and GA woke up and found that Caylee was missing, then found her in the pool. So if that was the case, wouldn't she have been in pajamas???

This is yet another example of how we know that the Opening Statement was bunk.

Had this happened in the early AM on the 16th as the Defense claims she would've been in her jammies because Cindy would've seen to it the night of the 15th.

Caylee died the evening of the 16th. Casey got invited to Tony's to watch movies and Casey just about blew up her phone trying to get someone to take the baby. Heck she called Cindy, George, Amy and even her ex Jesse Grund. But noone was available.

I think she gave her something to knock her out and put her in the trunk and flitted off to meet Tony for 4pm. She got so into getting some she didn't remember about Caylee till 11:30am the next morning. By then it was too late.

This is the first time the neighbor sees her back her car into the garage. This is the first time ever that Casey has almost 11 hours where she doesn't talk on the phone.

She has lots of time to try to figure out what to do. She had watched Untraceable the night before and in that movie a guy is kidnapped and his whole mouth is duct taped clear around his head. I think that's where she got the idea to tape Caylee up that way.

Irish,

That seems like a plausable scenario to me. She might have done the duct tape when she got home to the garage. Might have hoped that would lend to a kidnapping scenario.

Where are the pics that show how the duct tape was done? I didn't see that. I thought it was just over her nose and mouth.

They aren't showing them. The judge ruled they couldn't show them. It was all around her head. :sad1:

There are pics that haven't been released. Like today in the courtroom the judge ordered that those pics weren't to be shown.

We know how the duct tape was done thru the various doc dumps on the case that state the tape was around her head, in her hair and holding her jaw in place

BTW, I think she is "ill" because she's an attention wh@&#. Can't have people thinking about Caylee more than her! (I also think that's why she killed her - she was jealous.)

ITA and to add on to the "she was jealous" I think she would do anything to keep custody away from Cindy. :guilty:

I keep thinking I'm missing lots of clues in this mess. For example when Lee talked about the Zanny "kidnapping" story and told about Casey changing the password to "Timer 55" to get the kidnappers instructions - and that there were 55 days from June 16 to Caylee's birthday - I thought aha! That's where that "55" came from.

But then I read on WS that Casey actually changed that password back on 5/14/08! And that based on texts between Casey and Amy, 5/14/08 is the day that the Puerto Rico trip was planned, and the day they planned to leave was 7/8/08, exactly 55 days later.

So, what's up with that? Like someone mentioned over there, maybe Casey was going to leave Caylee with the "nanny" while she went to PR and then come back to find that Caylee was missing? :confused3

It's the bag that had the Gatorade bottle with the syringe inside it - and in the syringe there was traces of chloroform (I posted a pic of the bottle on here the other day). :guilty:

So they found her body with the disney bag nearby and in the bag was the gatorade bottle with syringe with chloroform traces in it! And they proved that the car had extremely high levels of chloroform in the trunk, and someone searched 80+ times how to make chloroform....ummm that seals the deal for me.

I was going to say the same exact thing. The defense maintains she got out before anyone else was awake. So are we to believe she dressed herself first? They'll allege she slept in regular clothing.

I take a medication that has pretty much stopped just about all my crying since I've been on it. While very interested in this case, I've had no emotion over any info presented. Not even today. Nothing. Honestly, its like my feelings switch is turned off at times. My DH is deployed this year and I didn't cry until weeks after he left. Not even at deployment ceremony. Probably looks really strange to other people.

Unless she's on some kind of drug like that, I would have expected the mother of a child to cry a heck of a lot more in court than she did today. ESPECIALLY if she's innocent of murder like she says.

Only other thing I can apply is that perhaps with 3 years gone by, maybe the emotions aren't quite as raw anymore, but still would have expected more than dabbing her eyes.

I did notice she was rocking herself for comfort. Ever so slightly.
And trying to hide in her sweater sleeves & collar.

Just saw the blurred photos on HLN. Ugh, I feel sick. :guilty:

I googled the pictures and even though they weren't blurred, I still couldn't make out what I was looking at. I'm probably better off.

does anyone else think 80 times is excessive?

i mean how mane times do you need to type in a search?

even looking up what my baby has took less then 4 searches

once you hit the search hundreds of sites pop up

seems strange to me and i do a lot of searching

May I ask what words you used to google them, or better yet, maybe PM me a link? Or both?

Wow! That was interesting. Can't wait until Dr. G. takes the stand. Looks like she can hold her own.

Love it when the experts do their own version of a smackdown:

Dr G. "No. I don't answer Yes or no."

And Mason with his "this isn't my first rodeo". I love how the defense doesn't take this seriously.

Oh OK, I must have just missed when they said it was all the way around her head then, thanks. :)

Question for the experts. :) What really happened (that we know of) with Roy Kronk? What was the timeline for his calls, and what did he report when he first called. A skull? And no one responded? :confused3 It just sounds so ridiculous. Also, does he have any skeletons that are going to come out in court? (like a police record etc.) I sure hope he has a clean record. Thanks!

ETA: Oh wow, I just reread and that "skeleton" reference was unintentional. But I don't know what other word to use. Sorry.

I was reviewing the prosecution's witness list (thanks Mare!) and noticed that Kronk isn't on it. I find it interesting that the person who discovered the remains wouldn't at least be subpoenaed.

I understand why they probably don't want him on the stand after hearing that the defense wants to accuse him of moving the remains. But the witness list was set before opening arguments, wasn't it? I hope there isn't a problem with him that could hurt the case.

I too was looking at the prosecution list, and who is Shirley Plesea? Is she part of the OCSO?
