Has this mother not been watching the news? You think she would make some attempt to invent a good story. Even Casey saw the drawbacks of the old, "I gave my child to a total stranger and I don't know where she is now" story. Guilty.

I know, nothing like a bad copy cat.

That story from Newport News makes me sick. Something is WAY OFF with her story. There is no way you give your children and car to a total stranger. If she did give the kids to a stranger (I don't quite believe that) and does get those children back they should be taken away from her .

That story from Newport News makes me sick. Something is WAYOFF with her story. There is no way you give your children and car to a total stranger. If she did give the kids to a stranger (I don't quite believe that) and does get those children back they should be taken away from her .

What' s funny is that there is a small park, playground near her work-i live about 5 miles away, so familiar with that area. you think she would be more original like: i took them to the park so they could play while I was at work and now their gone

Weren't there text messages or some other communications where Casey called Caylee a little "snot" or some deragatory name like that? I wonder if the prosecution will bring that up as another example of a motive?

Also, I keep wishing some of these expert commentators would bring up the obvious. Why would Casey sit in jail for 3 years instead of admitting a long time ago that Caylee accidentally drowned? What would have happened if she had said that a year or so ago? Would the charges have been different? If any lawyer had been told that by his client, surely he would have worked out something a long time ago instead of his client sitting in jail and going to trial accused of first degree murder.

I think we expected to believe that Casey was living in a world of denial..too afraid to admit the truth of the drowning...(or some such rubbish)...until a few weeks ago when she suddenly remembered that she was abused and came out of her denial to admit the truth to Baez!!!

Something pathetic like that anyway..

The photos posted by seahunt (Caylee & young man she resembled) is JP Chatt. JP Chatt lived with Ricardo Morales and he's the guy Amy was with when Cindy Anthony called looking for Casey & picked Amy up at the mall. JP's father owned the place for the Puerto Rico trip Amy, Ricardo, JP & someone else took? Seems his family is well off and JP manages some of the properties (?) I believe he was also in with Ricardo on selling pictures to the Globe. He attended Caylee's 2nd birthday party as well.

I read one police interview with JP and he was really vague about things -"didn't recall" a lot, but did not trust Casey.

Did they ever do a DNA test? I think he Caylee looks remarkably like him.

I just saw a new thread that was started in reference to 2 missing boys in Newport News.

What other thread? I can't find it. I did a search for their names, and only this thread showed up.

Nancy Grace DOES cover other cases, all races. I've seen it. I'm not going to get into another debate about this, but she, and other reporters and the public are drawn to the whole crazy nature of Casey Anthony case, with the phone calls, the partying, etc. There was constantly a new and disturbing thing to report. I absolutely THINK that she will report on those boys, but she won't NOT continue reporting on this trial.

The circumstances of those two boys is extremely disturbing. I suspect we will have the same outcome as this case. The "news value", beyond reporting that they are missing and the wacky story their mother told, will be what else happens. If the mother builds more on the wacky story, grins in court at her family, and the other family of those boys pursue the news, etc (and I don't know what North Carolina's laws are about putting evidence out there), then it will get out there more. But no doubt, people will hold them side by side...black vs white...and that will be the reason why it's not 'as big' as the Casey Anthony story.

I hope those boys are found, and safely. I don't have a good feeling about that tho. If this woman truly did send these boys off with HER car and kids, she is, at the very least, not stable.

Terrible tragedy in our town over the weekend; probably just going to lay low today.

OMG, that's awesome! Haven't read the article yet. I think we expect the worse these days, there are so many nuts out there. Well, that lifts my day a bit.

I know! Here I am not wanting my neighbors to watch my kids until I know them well enough to know that they aren't part of a child abduction ring.

My dad is pretty trusting like that - but I think his BS meter is really accurate. I'm far too naive so I trust no one!

I don't know if I want there to be more to the story like that. What's worse? Having a mom with no common sense or having a mom with a drug problem willing to sell you for a fix?

I'm hoping that there isn't more to this story and that the mother has learned a valuable lesson.
