Oh this is going to be a LONG day... poor guy keeps forgetting where he is with all these objections.

Dr Vass is as eccentric and interesting as any CSI character on TV!

I love him. I found him so genuine and interesting during the Frye hearings. At one point, he was asked a question and he answered "How COOL is that!" He really loves what he does.

So Jeff was involved in the early intro of DNA evidence to the courts and now this science. Interesting.

Yup, our Mr Ashton is quite a groundbreaker.

Ok..I have been watching this online for a bit now and coming here for analysis so I figure I will jump in and stop lurking.
I have never watched a court case like this before and am quite the novice but this has absolutely intrigued me!

And herein lies my constant question.. WHY the objections? Baez said the baby died, Baez said George helped cover it up.. If you follow his argument, it makes sense that the car smelled and had decomp evidence... doesn't it?

Why is he questioning the witnesses knowledge and expertise? His credentials are very good and he is obviously a more competent scientist than JB is a lawyer.

I guess it will be damning to KC if it is proved she drove around with a dead body in her car! HoseA must not want that supported as it looks very bad. HoseA can't let this testimony look viable.

RK might have used the car to transport any number of bodies in his body snatching activities anyway.

Thanks. It's this analysis that leads to the chloroform finding. That's why the defense wouldn't want it. More chloroform than would naturally be present was found.

See my post - I think it's not that they are objecting to decomposition evidence, they just don't want the chloroform evidence to be presented. And those two things go hand-in-hand with this witness.

I see the chloroform evidence points to a possible cause of death. Bad for KC!

Unless pool water would degtade into chloroform. HoseA needs that scientific kinda evidence!

A lot of these objections are simply a way for the defense to keep interrupting the expert testimony, trying to make Voss lose his place and mainly making it harder for the jury to follow the testimony. Its a desperation move.
