Can't figure out if I can post a poll in the first post. Can I post one in this post? Trying.

Not sure but are you thinking of asking if we think that Casey will testify?

All of the commentators following the trial have said that Casey will have to testify, maybe there was one that didn't think so but the vast majority say yes.

I am very curious which of the members of the prosecution's team will cross examine her??? None of them have shown an explosive side yet (it hasn't been expected yet except maybe the opening statement which was pretty flat) so I hold out hope that someone eventually will become more aggressive.

George worked as a police officer for 10 yrs. He says Cindy was worried about him working as a cop after they had children. He quit to work for his dad's used car/van conversion dealership with the understanding that George would take over the business when his dad retired.

Here's where it gets shifty: there appeared to be a "falling out" between the two and George's dad sold the dealership & retired. (There's some kinda weird stuff about his throwing his dad through a plate glass window per Cindy's brother & mother).:confused3

George opened his own used car lot. Failed after two yrs. (I think) and since they 2nd mortaged their house, they lost it. Decided to move to FL. Cindy still didn't want him in LE, so he ended up with all sorts of odd jobs, mainly revolving around security. Oh, he did a short stint for a termite company, fell in a hole, tore up his knee and was on disability for a year or two.

I also didn't know he & Cindy separated for 8 mos. shortly after Caylee was born. He'd run up some major $$$ on online gambling. They ended up back together and I get the impression he was pretty much 'whipped after that.
Ah...it's all coming back to me now. Thanks! Didn't know about throwing his dad through the plate glass window tho.

Yeah, the family's a bit dysfunctional. Can't deny that.

IIRC, I read the window thing in Cindy's brother's (Rick Plesea) email to her and there was some good stuff in emails exchanged between Cindy's mother (Shirley Plesea) & aunt.

If ya'll get bored tomorrow, look up those emails & Shirley's interview transcript. She's a hoot, doesn't mince any words.

The poll...yes, if we think she will testify. I know many commentators are saying she'll have to, a few say she won't. And many people on here are saying she won't. I think she will.

I like Mr George on the prosecution team. Not so much Ms Burdick. Mr Ashton is "OK". I think right now they want to keep the witnesses on their side, if that makes sense. I think they'll lay into Casey if they get her up there.

Do you have a link for that, I had always he heard he was a police officer and never any of this other stuff

Bozo says that Casey "cried and cried and cried" when they found Caylee - hmmm, why do I doubt even that part after watching her in the courtroom *cough cough*

Baez also says Caylee died in the morning of June 16th, but at 11:47 Casey was uploading new pictures of herself on Facebook. Had she stopped crying by then, all done, all cried out for a dead daughter? :guilty:

Plus Casey made a bunch of calls in the afternoon, and one of them was to Cindy asking her to BABYSIT? :headache:

I googled her and found these youtube videos...interesting listening. Audio of a police interview with Shirley Plesea, with videos and photos of Casey, Caylee, George, Cindy, the investigation and search of the yard, etc. The videos of George and Cindy with Caylee are just heartbreaking. :(

Well geez, Seahunt, how long do you expect poor Casey to put her life on hold after her daughter drowns? :sad2:

Agreed, tears do not appear to be the first emotion that Casey goes to, at least not naturally. :rolleyes1

It's interesting what you wrote about her uploading the pics to Facebook and her calling Cindy and asking her to babysit??? I had not heard or read either of those points before.. hmmmm.

If it hasn't been posted here yet, a poster on WS says there's a news report on local news that Lee now wants to sit in the courtroom during the trial and his attorney is going to file a motion regarding that. :confused3

(I checked WESH but no links yet. Remember they said there was going to be a motion first thing Tuesday morning, wonder if this is it?)

Side note: I heard on the news a few weeks ago that Cindy went to see Casey on mother's day and Casey refused the visit.
I don't think Cindy was surprised- Casey has been refusing the family visits since she was arrested back in 2008.

It was argued. I watched that hearing. They had the detective Yuri Melich testify as well as the other officers involved. The Judge said everything was correctly handled. no problems.
Glad to hear that. Thanks for sharing.:)

Also there's no Juliette Lewis (and no baby Annabelle).

However there is an actress named Juliette Lewis who was in a movie Natural Born Killers playing a character named Mallory Knox.
I've always figured that's where Casey got Juliette's name. She must've gotten writers block (so exhausting to make up all these names, ya know?) and got the name after watching "What's Eating Gilbert Grape'.:rolleyes1

Jose just called...he said that he'll come up with a good excuse for me missing work.

She is a hoot. I don't think she likes Casey very much!

I googled her and found these youtube videos...interesting listening.

Thanks for the links, I'll listen to them now.

If you haven't watched the videos of Casey's police interviews, I think when she was first arrested, here's the first video. She's laughing, flirty, agreeable, pouring on the charm..."you're just doing your job" "that's understandable" "it's kind of funny". This is the first of seven:

I'm sure Baez thinks he can put her on the stand and she'll play her part appropriately.

Wow, I've read so many depos/interviews I can't keep 'em straight anymore. I want to say it was George's deposition. He struck me as being a bit more forthright than Cindy. I began accessing through Websleuths, but had problems with docstore; just started googling (i.e.) "George Anthony depositon transcript" and found links, usually through FL news stations.

Sorry :(

That's heart-breaking audio and video to watch.

One thing that sticks out for me that the Great Grandma said was that Cindy took off for a week and then another one and during that time she did not go to visit George's Mom like she had planned to because Casey had kept promising to come and see Cindy. She went on to say that during that time off that's when Cindy was doing all the yard work. George is also known to mow the lawn on a weekly/10 day basis. I wonder if Casey kept Caylee in the back yard a little longer than has been discussed, until she figured out that Mom and Dad would be back there poking through stuff. Just an idea.....

Did Baez say it was morning?

His timeline in his opening statement:

"Early morning hours the exact time is not known...it could have been early afternoon...early morning...actually it was the early morning hours. "

:rolleyes1

Even more interesting is this audio LE interview is not the same as the written transcript?????? Written transcript is dated 08/21/08 and took place in Shirley's home.

OK, I'm officially confused.

I wouldn't call this a police interview, Casey mentions the helicopter following them and the media vans etc following her from her attorney's office. The detective mentions that she already invoked her rights and is about to contact her attorney so this is a recorded room where she is being held and the detective (at least in the 1st part that I watched) never asks her a question.

Well, that certainly clears things up. I guess he has to first make sure he actually knows for a fact when George was there.
