I didn't realize how short of a time he was her boyfriend.

Maybe too many girlfriends & can't keep them straight? I would think he would KNOW he was going to be called a witness 3 yrs ago & would have tried to remember stuff or write it down so he didn't forget.

Its like which girlfriend was she now? Oh, right, that one.

I think Casey was dreading when he got on the witness stand

The commentators were, well, commenting lol about how all these young people have moved on with their lives, graduated, etc, have their lives ahead of them, and there's Casey. What a contrast between how she looks and how they look. Someone mentioned upthread that Casey looks like one of those polygamist women with the big bumpy hair-dos and frumpy clothes, esp today with that ruffled blouse.

I'll bet alot of these girls who were shown in these pics wish they had never of done this. Shows what your life is like. Not to mention people who know them and saw them.

It's not that she isn't mentally competent to stand trial, it's that she's usin' a mental illness to explain her behavior in coverin' up Caylee's death.

It's similar to the woman who had the outburst during jury selection, she was mentally ill, could state her conditions 'n medications.

I just wanna know if Casey's on medication for her illness.

Hell, I don't put it past this defense attorney to ask for an appeal after this trial is over claimin' Casey wasn't competent to stand trial if he doesn't get the verdict he wants.

If the jury doesnt believe, the accidental drowning story, the abuse could be a mitigating factor during sentencing. It only takes one juror with reasonable doubt to be hung...

I'm curious too, is Casey seeing a therapist? Maybe, a Doc is prescribing anti depressants and/or tranquilizers for her current situation. I don't know if the defense would want this (serious therapy) Too much information could possibly come into trial. Just my thoughts...

Lets remember this guy only dated Casey for a month or so. They met in late May and in July it all bust open. The biggest part of their relationship was after Caylee had died. He's probably thinking, geesh, all this and I barely new the girl! But he does come of rather smug

True but there was the roomate earlier who knew her for even a shorter time, wasn't even his BF but just a casual acquaintance and he didn't act as detached and obviously bored. There's a dead two-year-old here... I probably would have had tears in my eyes just talking about taking her to lunch.

I'm not watching the trial live, but from the way the boyfriend is behaving...could he be defensive on purpose...could he have a hand in killing the baby?

Whens she was first arrested, the then judge, Judge Strickland, ordered an evaluation. She was evaluating and found fit to stand trial. During the hearings, they specifically said they are not using a mental health defense.

Of course, she wasn't mentally ill when Caylee died, she became mentally ill after Caylee died.

Baez is slimey with all the stories 'n I don't think those came from his client.

He seems like a bit of smug jackalope (the other word gets modded LOL). He also seems very reluctant to be there. Im going to cut him a bit of slack. He's also probably is bitter that Casey put him in this position (more so than his roommates) as just wants to get the heck out of there and put this fiasco behind him!

He's not defensive at all. Just aloof, casual, a tiny smirk at times perhaps, can't remember anything like it wasn't important enough for him to remember.

Couldn't even remember the name of his promotion company with roommate.

Stuff just isn't important to him.

I swear the roommates & friends of theirs remembered more about her & they were only acquantainces. He was her boyfriend & living with her. Obviously he only cared about 1 thing.

I don't know why the prosecution isn't ruling out Casey mentioning drowning with these witnesses, but maybe it doesn't matter, I don't know. Just seems like they would cover that, too.

It's been almost 3 years, he's a guy, and he really didn't know Caylee, and apparently Casey, all that well.

I think it was a far more casual relationship for him than her. Commentators were saying that either they had heard, or maybe they were just speculating, that he wasn't overly thrilled about having a GF with a small child, he was young and having a good time, etc.

Prosecutor just asked about it being a fairly new relationship on June 16...he said yes. Didn't go to school the next day because he wanted to stay in bed with Casey. Pretty much spent the day there in bed.

Well the day caylee goes missing, she is not distraught, crying and seen going into a video store and nothing about poor caylee. I dont know how baez can explain that away no matter what anthony says. Pictures dont lie. If I were him I would feel stupid myself.
