None of the roomates have said that Caylee was living there, they all said Casey spent the night and "lived" there but never Caylee

Hmmm...that then leaves the question, where did her parents think Caylee was? I too live with my young daughter and my parents and if I was out galavanting with my friends my parents would want to know where my child was immediately.

Ok. But what about Uncle's question above? If Casey is so sick due to the abuse, what kind of treatment is she receiving now? She has been under the care of the state for quite some time, and if Baez really believed she was mentally ill, shouldn't he have insisted she be under a doctor's care?

It's not that I don't believe any of these things can happen to someone with a history of abuse, it's just that based on the facts of this case, I don't believe it has happened to Casey. Baez will have to call lots of experts and show lots of treatment before I would believe it - to make any doubt I had be REASONABLE.

So is she medicated to stand trial as a competent defendant now?

I never said she wasn't competent to stand trial. Is that in question? Mentally ill people stand trial every day.

I do not know, what (or if any) treatment Casey has received. Everyone around Casey keeps saying she seemed normal. Many mentally ill or abuse victims appear normal...on the surface anyways.

Something's not right in that home. I tend to believe the abuse claim. It doesn't excuse murder, but I'm not convinced Caylee was murdered. My opinion may change during the trial.

I would be a lot more likely to believe that it was an accident and Casey covered it up IF Casey had not brought George into her story.

I would be a lot more likely to believe that Casey had been abused and is suffering from some mental illness that causes her to lie IF she was receiving some sort of treatment now.

I will definitely not have any reasonable doubt about the prosecution's case unless there is some credible information presented by the defense that raises some.

Baez's assertions in his opening statement and baseless questions to the witnesses are not cutting it. And I'm not sure that Casey's own testimony would cut it either. If Casey's mental illness causes her to lie, was she lying before or is she lying now?

Actually, he know nothing. NOONE really knows anything. he does however have the info that will back up prosecution claims.

It's not that she isn't mentally competent to stand trial, it's that she's usin' a mental illness to explain her behavior in coverin' up Caylee's death.

It's similar to the woman who had the outburst during jury selection, she was mentally ill, could state her conditions 'n medications.

I just wanna know if Casey's on medication for her illness.

Hell, I don't put it past this defense attorney to ask for an appeal after this trial is over claimin' Casey wasn't competent to stand trial if he doesn't get the verdict he wants.

Whens she was first arrested, the then judge, Judge Strickland, ordered an evaluation. She was evaluating and found fit to stand trial. During the hearings, they specifically said they are not using a mental health defense.

Lets remember this guy only dated Casey for a month or so. They met in late May and in July it all bust open. The biggest part of their relationship was after Caylee had died. He's probably thinking, geesh, all this and I barely new the girl! But he does come of rather smug
