But, for many who are upset with the Jurors on this and it makes me quite ill actually. Especially now the names they are being called etc. is terrible.
However, I said this to many of my friends, what if it was your husband or your wife or someone you knew that was on trial. Wouldn't you want them to have a FAIR trail and be innocent until proven guilty?
I understand the emotion, I do, but maybe it was an accident? She panicked? Someone else her father, her boyfriend at the time told her we'll do something else. There is much more to this story than we may ever know.
What if that family member had their attorney blame YOU in the court of law. That you did horrible things to them and helped cover up an accident.
Only, you Are completely innocent.
Is their fair trial to be at all costs including YOUR constitutional rights of innocent until proven guilty.
George was placed on trial and had his constitutional rights violated with no way to hold that attorney responsible.
The jury presumed him guilty without a shred of evidence (an adulterer does not a child molester make) and THAT was the way to Casey's freedom.
No--I don't want my constitutional rights violated and vicious lies used to free a family member. That isn't fair at all.
