Carefully worded, but yep. I believe he also testified that he didn't think Casey would do anything like that to her child "BACK THEN".
I'll tell you what other type of behavior is inexcusable too (oh, and there IS evidence of this): Partying, tattooing and basically just having a good ole time while your daughter is __________ (kidnapped, dead from an accident that you don't report, dead by your own hand - you fill in the blank), and then lying to people who are trying to find your daughter. THAT'S inexcusable to me. Unfortunately, the jury must not have thought so.
Yup. The taxpayers paid for her defense. Maybe the jurors felt like since they were payin' for it, they might as well lean that way.
Okay, that was hateful, and I don't really mean it.
Guess I'm still in shock.
Vinnie P interviewing an alternate juror. Im biting my tongue, trying to not say anything mean...
If the other jurors are as stupid as the alternate juror they just interviewed on HLN then it is no wonder why they found her not guilty.......
I wonder if Cindy could still be proscuted for perjury. That would be terrible irony if its possible.
Kelly
Maybe so, but that doesn't make people taking the law into their own hands acceptable.
So, since she claims this was an accident and she knew this since June 16th and she didn't come forth with this info, you think we, the citizens of Florida can sue her to recover our money for having had to house her in jail for 3 years, pay for her attorneys and other expenses? I mean we could have saved ourselves a lot of money and time if she would have said the truth, her truth, but at least something!

My theory is that Casey will rake in lots of money from all the talk shows, get a **** job, then when everyone gets tired of her, she can get a job at Hooters or at Fusion.
I'll put it in the First Post.I missed something. Did George release a statement?
Oh, I hope. And I suspect she will.I don't, I think she will be just fine with the money rolling in. That is, unless she does something else, like OJ, and end up in jail again.
I am so sad right now. This is definately one of those "life's not fair" moments. It's not fair that that baby girl was treated so horribly and killed. It's not fair that all of those who were working on this case (prosecutors, detectives, etc) were working for justice and it didn't happen. It's not fair that people who know they were able to let a killer walk will profit from this. It's not fair that ICA will probably go on to have more children, but will never be a mother.
From the beginning of this trial I have felt the biggest thing going against the prosecution was the jury. HJBP was very fair to the citizens and allowed them to show family and financial hardships. I really felt that the people who would be on this jury would be those who could give up two months of their life and feel like this was a good alternative. I think it was difficult to find a true jury of responsible self providers.
Oh, that would be awesome.Maybe Casey can get a job as Jose's nanny........
She knows what happened...she killed her.Can anyone tell me...what does Casey think DID happen to her daughter???
OK...listening to Russ the Jury Guy now. No wonder it was "not guilty". Makes me sick. Had I known I could get away with murder based on coming from a dysfunctional family, I would have offed a few people years ago.I just feel horrible about all this . horrible.
We all know that no one else in this world killed that baby-doll. NO.ONE.ELSE.
I don't want to blame this jury but who do we blame for this outcome .
It would be fun to hang out on a real fun thread, but I've never watched BB and then I see the warning from joviroxx not to! LOLI have to admit that I have never seen Big Brother. Not too sure what the show is even about. When does it start and is there a link to the thread? I think it would be fun to hang out with you guys on another thread.
George and Cindy aren't going to put their lives out there anymore than they ever have to again. What if George and Cindy civilly sued Casey like the Goldman's did to OJ. If they got a civil verdict, Cassey could not make any money off this. Lee could also do this. If that woman is found to be Caley's paternal grandmother, she could also do it
Ashton leaving...yes.What a huge loss for the state of Florida.
Ugh...I feel so bad. His heart and soul...along with Burdick's and Mr George's and Yuri Melich's, etc....went into this case.He looked so sad and sick when the verdict was read. It is too bad this is the trial he is going out on. Make no mistake - he was brilliant and Caylee could not have asked for a better advocate - but he will probably always wonder what he could have done differently.
Oh yeah, we'll see Geraldo, Baez and Casey partying on Geraldo's show.If Oprah was still around, that would be her first stop. I bet anything Casey and Jose will be on Geraldo soon.
I am completely baffled. How do they think she is not guilty of anything?? Not guilty of manslaughter, not guilty of child abuse, not guilty of anything except having imaginary friends??
Oh lord! Id love to have you aboard but for the love of God don't do it! There are live feeds, they are on West Coast time, you end up glued to your computer all day and if you live on the east coast, you are up all night because of the time change. Its awful! Run, run before you get hooked!
Well, you could just watch the tv shows, but then you don't get the "whole" picture!!
And I bet it'll be a doozy!Casey's book of her memoirs will be located in the FICTION section at the library....
Sorry if this was mentioned before, but I just heard that Jeff Ashton is quitting after 20 years of being a prosecutor.
I'm not trying to be offensive, but...
anyone who expected otherwise or is "shocked" by the verdict, really must not have a "legal" mind.
the state failed to even really propose a case and in all other regards, failed completely. IMHO the tax payers of FL should do anything legally possible to remove all those in the DA's office that worked on this case from their positions.
Is it just me or did anyone else read into George's statement that he feels she is guilty?
What really makes me mad is that the jury didn't ask for ONE piece of evidence to look at.
How in the hell can you declare someone either guilty or not guilty without going over the evidence?

Glad to see that we have another thread here to vent. Can anyone imagine Casey getting a job in Orlando after all this? She doesn't even have a high school diploma.
I hope he doesn't make a toast to Caylee. He is celebrating with the murderer
Yes...through their attorney:
It's on the Orlando Sentinel blog site, I have less than 10 posts so I cannot post the link.
Here's the article:
After receiving death threats, George and Cindy Anthony are in hiding, WFTV-Channel 9 reported tonight.
The parents of Casey Anthony were the first to leave the courtroom after Anthony was acquitted of first-degree murder today, anchor Martie Salt noted. WFTV offered footage of the Anthonys leaving quickly with their attorney, Mark Lippman, after hearing the verdict.
Lippman said it was too early to say if the Anthonys would welcome Casey back, WFTVs George Spencer reported. Defense attorney Jose Baez, in his opening statement, accused George of sexually abusing Casey and helping cover up the drowning death of Caylee.
WESH-Channel 2s Bob Kealing read a statement the Anthonys issued through Lippman. Kealing said, Now that Casey Anthony may be on the verge of gaining her freedeom, this statement from the Anthony family suggests she may have lost them in the process, Kealing said.
In the statement, the family said it had closure and would rebuild their lives, but described Caseys claims against George as baseless. The family called the verdict fair and said the they wanted to move forward privately.
But Kealing highlighted that the family expressed no support for Casey. After the verdict, Cindy seemed relieved and George didnt register a response, Kealing said. The ones you saw Casey actually celebrating with were the defense team, who have in essence become her family, Kealing said.
Spencer also highlighted the Anthonys statement that the verdict was fair. We have learned they are very scared, Spencer reported. They are in hiding right now because George and Cindy Anthony have actually been receiving death threats.
Lippman said threats against the Anthonys were on the Internet and that the Orange County Sheriffs Office was investigating.
This is a loss of a very capable prosecutor. The citizens lose with his retirement. The fallout from this decision will be widespread. Someone killed that little toddler.
