THIS actually makes me happy. I hope he gets into a lot of trouble.

I have a hard time believing these 12 have much brain matter at all. I 6 of them thought manslaughter how and why were they so easily swayed.

Some think it's offensive to question the jury but to me it just as offensive to pretend they are thoughtful thinkers just because they sat on a jury

ITA!

Somewhere a village is missing 12 of its idiots.
:thumbsup2

I missed what the beginning and they why but Richard Hornsby is saying that it takes 5 minutes to calculate all of this and he thinks all this is smoke and mirrors to appease the public.

I don't understand how this jury could go from 6:6 manslaughter to not guilty in a matter of hours.

When exactly did they speak? They weren't supposed to be speaking about the trial AT ALL during the trial. Judge Perry made that VERY CLEAR each and every time they entered and left the courtroom. It seems quite clear that they didn't understand that simple instruction...no wonder they apparently didn't understand anything else. That one alternate said "we" this and "we" that...and was not part of the deliberations.

"Irregardless", the jury has spoken; as ignorant as they sound, the verdict is the verdict.

:rotfl2:

Thank you for that. I needed a good laugh about now.

According to an eyewitness who was in the courtroom this morning sitting in front of CA, she noticed that CA was smiling frequently while GA was sitting stoicly as usally ... and when CA left the courtroom she looked back at Casey and kept smiling at her but Casey wouldn't look back at either CA or GA ...

I wonder if CA was smiling because she was happy that Casey isn't going to be released today or because she's already trying to repair their broken relationship & letting Casey know that "mommy's still here for you sweetheart & all is forgiven" :confused3 ... I'm sorry, but dysfunctional doesn't even begin to describe this family, IMO ...

ETA: CA also commented to GA & her lawyer that "Casey looks so beautiful today" ... and it was also overheard that LA has a new attorney ...

A statement was just read in defense of the jury: "It's not about proving someone guilty, it's about proving someone guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." Um, ok, that doesn't make sense. So they didn't have to prove her guilty beyond all doubt, just beyond reasonable doubt. I doubt the jurors know how to reason.

I agree. It wouldn't take long to figure this out. They want us to think that the judge really worked on this and it wasn't a kneejerk reaction to just release her immediately. My guess ... JBP would rather have a leisurly brunch with prosecution and defense and pretend to hack this out.

Well I guess the jurors are as good liars as Casey and fooled the judge. I hope they feel good about that. I hope that makes them even more sick to know they also lied in a court of law.

Yep because HHBP did the math I did and knew she was as free as a bird so he choose to send an email to let the public know versus saying it in open court which would've caused a riot.

This way they can sneak her out and noone is the wiser

My math is below.

Ok my research turned this up

Final arrest for the check charges was September 2008. She pled guilty in January 2010. A total of 16 months in jail so she was given time served and probation.

She was arrested October 2008 for the murder charges. Up until this month she has served 2 years 9 months((35 months))

Today she was sentenced to 4 years for the lies.

48 months for todays sentence minus 35 months she's already done leaves a difference of 13 months.

I read that "gain time" is equal to 12 days per month. So if that's true that means that she has 576 days coming to her---So 1 year and 7 months time off for good behavior

13 months equals roughly 395 days//////576 for good behavior----Means she's out today

Don't forget that we saw a lot more of what was going on in the courtroom than the jury. I remember just one morning where they were called out for over three hours, they did not see and hear everything we did.

Again, I think she was guilty, but I'm remembering "To Kill a Mockingbird" and hope that mob mentality and vigilante justice do not taint the memory of Caylee. I think Karma, or someone higher (whatever/whoever you believe in) will eventually catch up to her. Where is OJ now??

I believed, the lies were felonies. I was surprised, that wasn't the case. Now, it's being reported, they could have been charged, as felonies. She lied in a case, where possible charges, were a capital offense. This makes her false statements, felonies in the state of Florida. The prosecution chose to charge her with misdemeanors.

My thoughts ... Casey is mad that Mommy and Daddy said she can't come home. (Although I wonder if they said that for media reasons and to get the media off their backs and away from their home). Remember ... Casey cares only about Casey. She only "wants" other people when she can benefit from them. She doesn't care about Cindy or George or Lee unless she's getting something from them (inc. lies on the stand). She's not getting the security of a home from them, so she will ignore them.

I think Cindy is the type that will always be there for Casey. And I think she's trying to let Casey know that she's there and cares and all that other stuff.

Cindy hasn't written Casey off. She's an enabler and will continue to enable Casey in whatever way she can, I'm sure. It wouldn't surprise me, though, if GA and LA have entirely written Casey off.

I wonder if Cindy realizes that she's losing her daughter anyway? It might not be to the prison system ... but my guess is that Casey has used her parents for all they can give her, so she's going to move on to some other patsy.

Isn't the sentencing public? Doesn't CA have to be in court for the sentencing?

Because she wasn't under oath while making the statement the lies were not considered felonies. The prosecution I believe definitely would have charged her if they could have.

OMG those people are just plain crazy! WTH!" Casey she look beautiful? "Perhaps her beauty would be enhanced with a big hunk of duct tape across her mouth and a pile of fraudulent checks in her hand.

Very true! No matter where she is, she will always have to live with this. Her life will not be as easy as she might now be thinking and karma will eventually catch up with her.

Isn't the sentencing public? Doesn't CA have to be in court for the sentencing?

Judge Perry said he will not release Casey's release date in open court.

They usually are and the Talking Heads were saying they've never seen it done this way before

I just seen CM walk out of the court room with 2 deputies so they were still in there discussing it.Not sure if ICA is still in there or not.

So do you all think she really is getting out today?
