I hope there are no death threats againts the jurors. They may need to hide, I guess they could share expenses with the Anthonys. By the way just curious did juror 4 ever release a statement?

ok i'm still confused with that "time served" crap.

she's serving her convictions for fraud so how can that be used to go towards her sentence now?

if she served and was relased before this convinction it wouldn't count so why does it count because she's still in jail?

it the 4 years shoudl start the day AFTER she finishes the time for what she was convicted of

He is Counting the time served for check fraud? That doesn't seem very fair. I would think that the day she got that sentence, the jail calendar started over.

Phooey!

Well now she has time for writing her fictional memoir without the distraction of the jet set life.

She been in jail for the murder charge.

She was arrested in August 08 (I believe) on the check charges. She went to trial for the check charges in January 2010. She got time served for that. So a year and a half.

I'm not sure when she was arrested on the murder charges. But I think that it should start from January 2010 when her trial for the check charges were finished.

ETA ---OK she was arrested for the murder in October 2008

Was it just 1 year w/time served? If so why the release late july or early aug? I'm sure thats why she got all prettied up TODAY.

Well, doesn't look like shes walking out today.

Well, that's the good news I guess, didn't bother watching....

This is horrendous. Threads like this make me want to avoid jury duty to begin with. To think that if for some reason I was on a jury for something important and got shown on TV that people who track me down and post a link with my name and address is really disturbing.

Well, if she hadn't broken the law, got arrested, then put her own name out there nobody would have been looking for her and why on earth do we allow so many with records to get on juries, particularly with this kind of a case? It makes zero sense.

We will have to take what we can get by way of justice.

Baez can cancel her spa appointment and their post-trial Fusion party.

Darn, I'm sure they were looking forward to it.

I think only a year or 18 months was for the check cashing, she would serve 85% of that I believe and then the remainder was waiting for this trial to begin. She would serve 85% of the 4 years, and then there's good behavior added in... who knows how they get to the place they get to in the end.

Did you see the signs protestors held up outside? This one is classic......

So true.....

Truer words have never been spoken and the more I read what they say the more ignorant they sound.

Nobody tracked her down!!! Nobody knew the names of the jurors! Those jurors chose not to face the media as a group. It's not like someone recognized her and outed her. Aside from Ms. Ford and the alternate juror who spoke out, the remaining 11 jurors and alternate(s) have remained anonymous STILL. They're still being referred to as Juror # __.

Ms. Ford (aka Juror #3) put her name out there herself. She agreed to be interviewed and collected money for it. She outed herself. She could've gone home and led her life and kept her mouth shut. There are 11 other jurors who still remain anonymous/nameless because they have not sold their story to the media. This woman went out there, sold her story for good money, and when you do that, you lose the anonymity that you're given by the court.

I feel no sympathy for her. Nobody outed her here. She did that all by herself yesterday during the ABC/Primetime interview. And once you make yourself public after a spectacular trial as this was, be prepared for dirt to be dug up on you. If you don't want the publicity and dirt digging, then keep your mouth shut.

Please do NOT avoid jury duty. If you're upset over the Casey Anthony verdict, that should make you want to serve jury duty so that your voice/opinion is heard even if it's on a local level! Just remember ... if you're on a huge media-rich trial like this, keep your mouth shut and don't sell yourself to the media.

Is it just me or does that mugshot not look at all like the person who was on ABC last night? It's only a little more than a year since her arrest right?

It's life in America!

Starting at her check fraud conviction, she has served almost 19 months. That is a little over 12 months of gain time based on the 12 day per month formula.

That gets us to 31 months of the sentence served. That leaves 17 months left that will dwindle to around a year if she is a good girl. (at 1 additional year of good behavior, she gains another 5 months).

Not sure how folks determined today, end if summer, or Christmas.

But that is what my shady jail math worked out.:rotfl:

As much as "think" she did it, I would not call the jurors idiots. They followed the letter of the law, like it or not.

Did anyone notice how she started playing with her hair when Baez came into the court? She got all flirty :sad2::sad2: I wonder where she will be when she is released :rolleyes1

Reporters saying Casey looked "positively giddy" when she walked into court today, never looked at her parents.

I am still disgusted with the jury. I do not feel sorry for their "sick stomachs" at all. If there was something making them feel sick to their stomachs, they should have taken more time until they were not sick to their stomachs over their decision. They didn't have a time limit, they were just in a hurry to get home. Thinking more about themselves than the job they had to do. Juror #2 said he "held out as long as he could" for 10 hours (or less). That's not very long, dude. Must not have had that strong a conviction about it if you changed your mind that quickly. Must have really wanted to get the gravy train rolling.

Public record is public record and the juror released her own name. Much of the infractions of the juror were part of voir dire (sp?) anyway.

This thread did not out her.:confused3
I guess it's worth the price to her. You know...I'm funny like this, but I'd be embarrassed to release my name if I had a mugshot. :confused3 Silly me...I need to get with the 21st century...embarrassed by my behavior? Absurd!
I love that she is not being released today. HA
Me too. :thumbsup2

At one point in deliberations it was 6 - 6 for manslaughter. :sad2:

I am understanding why they didn't get first degree murder but it seems to ME that there was enough evidence for manslaughter. I read what juror #2 said and he seemed sincere to me. It breaks my heart that they were 6 to 6 for manslaughter earlier Tuesday. #2 was the last juror to hold out for guilty.

I did not care for Jennifer Ford (#3). I felt she had an attitude and had a bit of a know it all. I feel she could have been a bully type figure in the jury.

My supervisor at work said she wasn't surprised by the verdict. She had been on a jury and said you have to go by the evidence. I still think there was enough to convict of manslaughter.

My heart breaks for that beautiful baby, Caylee Marie. She was a very special little girl and it is clear she was loved. It's sad all of that love couldn't protect her.

Casey though bubble to explain her courtroom ensemble: "I got all ugly for nothing? And people saw me looking like this? I'm gonna kill Baez next. Whoops - I hope nobody can read my mind! The only reason I dressed this way was because the decoy they had was nowhere near as pretty as I am! I had to make myself look awful like her because who would've believed that ugly girl was me! I mean did Baez really think he could find someone as gorgeous as I am? Ha!"

They didn't have to "set her free!" Why didn't they find her guilty of one of the lesser charges??

It makes me really question if they understood the options. Sigh.

:headache::confused3:mad::confused:

Kristen

I agree!!! MAybe it's time for juries to have a court clerk type person to "guide" them in their deliberations. Not tell them how to vote. Just guide them thru.

I don't understand how the others got away from that?

I have always said I would rather a guilty person go free than an innocent person sit in jail. However, when you feel that the person on trial did do it but was convicted of NOTHING is when it gets really hard to deal with.

There was a case here recently for a man accused of killing his wife. His name was Ryan Widmer and his case was profiled on Dateline. I felt that there was reasonable doubt but twice he was convicted (first trial was a mistrial but found guilty, second was a hung jury, third was found guilty). I thought he was innocent until I saw him interviewed on Dateline and I felt he was not very convincing. However, still reasonable doubt so I would have set him free.

The time that she has served so far was in an isolated area at the jail, I am curious if the remainder will be served in general population and if she will go to an actual prison. Going in with general population may make it difficult for her to remain on "good behavior" status.

I hope she will be in general population. Now that she's been found "not guilty" for the murder of her daughter, why would there be a reason to keep her in an isolated area? Put her in general. She won't be popular there.

Such a pity..pretty little ICA all dressed up and no where to go :rotfl:

She probably already had Tony Lazarro's phone number and was all ready to call him as soon as she walked out today. Aww, too bad. Now her party plans for tonight won't take place. But seriously, I wonder if she is delusional enough to think that when she gets out, that he would be waiting for her.:confused3
