After listening to that alternate juror last night and taking into account how quickly the jury came to a verdict, I am convinced that the jurors were talking about this case all along.

Actually, when I heard that ABC paid for her trip to Disney World, I almost choked on my salad (I was eating dinner ) and actually said, "oh well, guess I'm cancelling our upcoming trip to Disney now" ...

I just think there should be more laws against paying jurors for their stories ... it just seems to taint the whole legal process for me ... it just makes you start wondering if they based their verdict on the evidence or if they based their verdict on what could make them more money ... Marcia Clark was saying something about the "OJ Law" that was passed in CA after the OJ trial which says that jurors can't get paid for any interviews or appearances, etc., until 3 months after a trial ends - (I think I understood her correctly) ... I think that's at least better than having no restrictions on jury interviews at all ...

I dont have regular tv, I wont even look at the news on the internet and I wont open any links. I am throughly disgusted. My DH came home and said his boss would say what ever she needed to say to get out of jury duty. And this country wonders why you cant get honest jurors.

Casey's jailhouse letters say she would consider adoption? Who in their right mind would allow Casey Anthony to adopt!? If she thinks she'll be able to adopt a child, she is really insane!!!

Did you see the part where she writes she wants to adopt an Irish baby, with an accent?

Poor Caylee, she had no Irish accent for mommy.

I'm still in shock about what happened. I need a spiritual cleansing to remove the Anthony's madness from my soul - hey, maybe Cindy has some spare cleaning products....ugh, even snarking on them is too hard to do.

Nice hotel. We stayed there for a homeschool convention once.

The elevators are slow for the hotel capacity (IMhO), but otherwise good accomodations.

I only hope the state got as good a rate as we did or better. But without a long term stay discount...hotel alone was $100,000 based on 135/night for 7 weeks for 15 people.
