Isn't it too late for that because Baez said that this wasn't a missing child case in his opening statement. He blew it right there for Casey. Right? Please tell me that's right! I want her to pay for her lies!
He also said ii his post-verdict publicity press conference, didn't he? Or was just that his saying it wasn't murder?

I don't think you can change your statement because they are looking for reimbursement. they would argue that point.

I wonder if the jury are kicking themselves now?

JVM said that one of the female jury members is in hiding per that jury member's husband. Apparently, she's terrified of repercussions. And he said she doesn't ever want to serve on another jury again.

They're saying that the jurors are letting things cool off and will be looking to do interviews in 6 months to a year. You know what? In 6 months to a year, do you really think anyone's going to want their justifications or their story? Honestly, I could really care less about what that jury thinks/says anymore. Nothing they say is going to make me think they did the right thing. And I really don't need to hear 12x that "we didn't have enough evidence".

Another odd thing this jurors husband is giving the news an interview and saying his wife left the state. Why would you do that? He said he had a envelope full of mail requesting her to give interviews, clearly she did not want to and yet her husband is doing so? What's up with that? And tell them she left the state?

Bump

I thought there was something fishy about Juror #12's husband.. or maybe it was the reporting of it that was odd. Who has a constant Blood pressure monitor going? and love the touch of "next to the bible" on the table. :rotfl2:

JB ssid in opening that Caylee drowned in the family pool. He emphatically told us that GA was there. It was a drowning! In closing, he tells us we will probably never know how Caylee died! Utterly outrageous.:scared1:

Now, Anne Finnell and the "other parties" story. Is she going to help us with a conspiracy theory? what would be the motive for others to be involved??

This is all wierder than weird.

I am disturbed that JB and Casey got so much mileage and success from lying. I was always told "beware, your lies will find you out". The benefit of lying is so complete for JB and KC they must feel like Ricky Gervais in "The Invention of Lying"!

Yeah, there was something very off about that story.

If you really feel your spouses life is in danger, why tell the world that she is in hiding in another state and you are sitting at home waiting to see if they threaten you before you leave? Whacky!

There is nothing hidden that won't be revealed. It's going to catch up and expose them.

They are talking on HLN right now about a motion filed to show the video of December 11th 2008 when KC saw the news footage of the remains found and she freaked out!

I asked this same question 100 times why wasnt this shown in court... would have definitely proven against her that she in fact knew the body was there.

Answer from what I gathered was - Its inflammatory and may not have given her a fair trial?????

In my opinion, this should have been shown at the trial!

To Kurby- I read about your incident and it got me thinking.. since it was the weekend, this could have been a fill in nurse or travel nurse.

I had an experience similar when my husband was on a ventilator and had a tracheostomy. I was there every day for over a month and once on a sunday I came it to find the suction tube taped to his chest to suction fluids from his trach. This was pure laziness on the nurses part. Luckily he was heavily sedated since I was so pissed I ripped it off his chest and called for the nurse who was standing outside chatting w/ other nurses. To say she knew I was mad is an understatement. He had amazing nurses except on Sunday's and this was at Georgetown Hospital Center.

I honestly believe that EVERY SINGLE PIECE of evidence needs to be presented at trial. What's the point of going out and investigating if you're not going to use it.

If it pertains to the crime and the aftermath it needs to be admitted. It should be up to the jury to decide if it's inflammatory or not or whatever the word is.

Baez actually caught himself in his opening argument and backtracked about when the "drowning accident" occurred. If you recall, he said to the effect that "it could have happened in the morning or the afternoon" and then quickly said, "In fact, it was early morning." Well, if it were in fact early morning, why not just say that? I think as soon as he said "the afternoon", he realized his mistake and knew he had to change it to morning. That scenario wouldn't have worked because future testimony would have proven that George was at work in the afternoon.

As far as I'm concerned, the whole defense team knew from the get-go that it was a farce.

Casey needs to give Jose some lessons on keeping your lies straight. No one knows when it happened because it DIDN'T happen!

Also, wasn't there a sworn statement from a guy at a computer store who said he saw Casey and Caylee leaving a Walmart on the afternoon of the 16th? Why didn't we ever hear from that guy?

And when the names are released then your bags are packed and ready to go.

A few hours after the verdict was read, one of the defense attorneys that had been a commentator throughout the trial made a comment that I agreed with. She said something like Baez and Co. did their job for their client and now they need to move on and wash their hands of her. She said something like, "Unfortunately, Baez' lack of experience and need for fame won't allow him to walk away from this. Instead of allowing his win to speak for itself and move on to the next case, he will stick with it and it will come unraveled."

In light of their new "theory" maybe she is right!

LOL :rotfl:

I think Juror # 12 wants the best of both worlds:

She goes into hiding, but her dear husband gives a interview to NBC, reveals her age, where she's from, and where she's employed.

She escapes and draws attention to herself at the very same.

She wants to avoid questions and discomfort about the verdict, but she also want to grab a little sympathy (and possibly cash :rolleyes1) when possible.

If she is truly afraid, why not just remain quiet like most of the jurors?

OK - just heard a clip from Ann Finnell. She she said:

"We all very much believed her [Casey] version of the events and still do."

Then Finnell said that she doesn't think that Casey knew what happened.

So ... if Casey doesn't know what happened, then how can you believe her version of the events? How the $%$! does that even make sense?!?!

Drinking the Casey Kool-Aid much, Ann?

This won't help her in the civil lawsuit to change her story. I hope they use the same questions as they were going to in 09. this could hurt her terribly and maybe Baez down the line. I think the state is including Baez in the lawsuit as well. or am I incorrect?
