Could Casey Anthony be coming to Carlsbad?
The seaside city has been named as a possible home for the young Florida mother recently acquitted in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
After a sensational trial that drew media attention from around the world, Anthony was convicted only of lying to investigators.

One of her former attorneys, Todd Macaluso, has a firm with an office at the county's McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, fueling speculation that a jet the firm charters may have been used to move Anthony from Florida to a new home somewhere in Southern California.

In addition to Carlsbad, possible destinations for Anthony may be Palm Springs or Orange County, several news agencies have reported.
Macaluso's office declined to comment Tuesday when contacted by the North County Times.

"We really don't know at the office," said a woman who answered the phone. "He (Macaluso) has told us he has no comment."

Anthony was released from jail Sunday but her whereabouts remain shrouded in secrecy. Her attorney's have said only that she's safe.

"This young woman had her day in court," Anthony attorney Jose Baez told Fox News late Sunday. "We need to start respecting jury verdicts and decisions that juries make."

All was quiet at the Carlsbad airport Tuesday and officials referred all questions to the county. A county spokesman said that if Anthony had traveled through the airport, the county was unaware of it and no unusual security measures had been taken.

Anthony's July 5 acquittal shocked and enraged many around the country who had been following the case since Caylee's 2008 disappearance. Anger has spilled onto social media sites and elsewhere. Her legal team said Friday that it had received an emailed death threat.

Anthony did not report her daughter's disappearance for a month and was arrested after telling a string of lies about the case to police. Caylee's remains were found in December 2008 near the home Casey Anthony shared with her parents.

Prosecutors alleged that Anthony suffocated her daughter with duct tape because motherhood interfered with her desire for a carefree life, but her lawyers said the girl drowned in an accident that snowballed out of control. Some of the jurors who acquitted Anthony said they believe she bears some responsibility for her daughter's death but that prosecutors failed to prove that she murdered the child.

Anthony had remained in jail to finish a four-year sentence for lying to investigators. With credit for the nearly three years she'd spent in jail since August 2008 and good behavior, she had only days remaining when she was sentenced July 7.

They are saying that because thats where the owner of the plane she left in. She was just seen getting off that plane in Orlando.

Took place in FLA so I will bet the farm that JB will represent this monster. OMG, I thought it was only me …… she does have a very interesting, err, odd walk about her. I noticed every time she came in the court room … it is like a "swagger".

I am VERY late coming in here with the Casey Anthony trial. I remember reading all about Caylee three years ago and hoping against hope that she was still alive. Some months on then I read that her body had been found. Now I am shocked, after all this time, to come back here and read that Casey Anthony was not found guilty. It's truly bizarre.

I know the whole double jeopardy thing exists which means she cannot be tried again for murder (or similar crimes). I wondered though if the prosecution now regrets charging her with child abuse. Had they not charged her with that crime would they now be able to re-try her with a child abuse/endangerment charge?

Just wanted to add this in no way changes my belief that she killed Caylee---1 (actually 2) or 84 makes not one bit of difference about that baby ending up covered in duct tape, double bagged in a swamp.

Well, so 84 times was incorrect and the prosecution knew it. Didn't another witness testify, the duct tape was arranged AFTER, the remains were found? So, that leaves us with the swamp...that was searched many times, but no body?

And the defense failed to mention that the swamp was not searched in the right spot...they were many yards away with thick underbrush. (watch Vinnie's tour....)

Then there is the whole witness tampering issue that is being investigated right now.

Experts can disagree--

I honestly don't see what the big deal is about the software that speaks of conspiracy. It is two competing companies that found 2 different results.

If someone can explain why one should be believed over the other, I might be able to try and understand. PRobably won't comprehend...but I might be able to understand.
