Ok - thats not funny but I was going to ask you that as a joke. She got "slapped" a few days ago, so did I, and we were swapping sob stories

I think it spun from that but there was more to it for her. Unfortunately, not a joke!

I do not believe, the prosecutions scenario.

I still, believe the jury should have been informed, regarding the software error. This was a big point, made by the prosecution.

As far as the evidence goes the area was not searched several times. Kronk saw the body - never searched. The police missed it due to a lack of searching, it was still there 4 months later. And the PI's who taped themselves looking in the woods were in the wrong area

No expert said the tape was re-arrange, he (Spitz) accused the Medical Examiner’s Office of posing the skull with hair. He only disputed when the tape was place "a later event" and if it was place over the mouth.

The jury was informed, it's in the testimony.

Who testified to that? I admit I can't remember every single person anymore but the only one I remember that ORIGINALLY testified that the duct tape was placed after was Dr. Spitz. You want us to take the word of a past his prime, fame seeking, argumentative curmudgeon who has a reputation of arguing his case even when wrong?

Yes, it was lovable, ole Dr Spitz who claimed the duct tape could have been applied after decomposition. And if I remember correctly, his explanation of how it got there was laughable. He might have been the "cat's meow" back when he was a "whippersnapper", but I have the feeling he's not currently up on all the "new-fangled" technology.

Well after Jennifer disappeared an unknown person backed Jennifer's car into a parking space at an apartment complex, ditched the car and left, never to be seen again. They don't know if the person who left the car there had anything to do with the disappearance or was just used to get rid of Jennifer's car after the fact. The apartment security camera took pictures of the person but unfortunately it just so happened that the person was behind the larger section of the gate each time the camera snapped (left side of picture below), and you couldn't see their face. But you could see them walking with his/her heels way up in the air....

Notice in the right side photo, Casey does the same thing with her feet. Of course, NOT that Casey had anything to do with JK, but we wondered if that foot position is what gives her the "strut/pance/swagger" and if a guy did the same tippy toe walk would it be noticeable on him too? Could law enforcement add to look for a distinctive swagger? We need a foot expert to FYI if this is unusual or normal!

And the defense failed to mention that the swamp was not searched in the right spot...they were many yards away with thick underbrush. (watch Vinnie's tour....)

Actually, that area was not searched at all due to being under water for a very long time. The head of Equisearch said that they didn't want to take a chance of damaging any remains by traipsing through underwater areas and that area was not searched (not the specific area where the remains were found).

I dont know, but something is going on...I heard last night on the news that a judge let a sex offender have custody of a 4 yr old little girl. as if that isnt enough, it was his step daughter, AND, he and the girls mother were in the process of divorce when the mother died...God help that baby!! What is wrong with people??

I'm not a foot expert, but one of the couriers (male) who delivers for our office does the exact same thing. And yes, yes, yes, it is very noticeable. Very distinctive.

I saw that on our local news. I was shocked too! Then I found out his offense was when he married the girls mom, she was 14. Not that it is OK, but I guess that is a tiny bit better maybe? I don't know. Still crazy to me!

IMHO she did not have the same outfit on when she exited the SUV as she had on when she went in it. They chose a distinctive outfit. Bright pink shirt and glaring shoes for a reason. People were marking what she had on in their minds I know I was and when I watched the footage at the airport fora bout 5 seconds I was looking for the pink shirt. They also changed her hair after she got in. I think if it were me and I wanted to blend I would be sure I was wearing black or brown something nondescript. Jeesh all they had to do is pretty much watch any police tv show and they would see that tactic. The person who got off the plane yesterday was not CA she was too heavy.

Curious why you believe the defense who simply told you that the area was searched and a body wasn't found but you don't believe the prosecution who actually had witnesses testify that they searched NEARBY areas and NEVER went to that exact spot? You are doing exactly what the jury did. You bought the opening argument and when there wasn't any proof, you didn't care.

People are accusing the state of not disclosing this mistake , which they supposedly knew, to the defense. Its all a bit confusing.

Bob Kealing from WESH is reporting that a statement was released saying that as per Court records, the State notified the defense of the mistake well before the trial ended and Baez was able to use this in his closing statement.

He did use it, it was in the trial.

How come the defense can lie about everyone and everything, but the prosecution is blamed for a mistake that 1)isn't their fault, 2) the new info was given t Jose who argued it at trial, 3) she was aquitted and this affects no one now anyway!

the tape was not rearranged. The jury had a picture of the skull as it was found at the crime scene, half in the dirt, before it was moved; with the duct tape around the face, in the hair and under the chin. They may or may not have looked at the picture, and it was not released to the public. The duct was 100% put on before decomposition b/c of the hair placement and mandible still being in place.
