Cartegena, Spain Excursions?

FYI: If you are planning to go to the Roman Theater Museum, you may want to purchase in advance, they say there is a long line in the morning. I just did...it was easy! https://puertodeculturas.cartagena.es/compra_entradas_nuevo.asp It is only €6 per adult...AND it has all the other places in Cartagena you would want to visit...can purchase all together...directly! (Wow...This is exciting...I need to calm down. It's time for lunch!) :)
THANK YOU!

(Edit: just re-read your question. Not “if they use the same train / company” but essentially why the difference in price.)

That price difference would imply something substantial would be included. In reality, not necessarily.

Sadly, based on other excursions, is that walk-ups and Disney excursion guests will essentially have the same experience. The ones booked through the cruise line, however, have the expectation that they will have a seat. The walk-ups may get turned away. The Disney excursion may be offered at a time not available for walk-ups.

This is the Way.

From the trolley website:

“Itinerary 2018

The journey of the trolley train lasts for about 40 minutes. The starting point and return point is Paseo Alfonso XII, and is available on most of the days any Cruises call on its port.”

it is offered on cruise days! Target audience.

I do see one possible difference - language. The train for Disney guests will most likely have an English-speaking guide. (It would not surprise me if the guide for walk-up train did not also speak in English; but it is advertised that way.)

We plan to do this tour, but on our own. I don't care what language the guide ends up speaking in, as my 3 year old just wants to ride anything resembling a train. We are not paying the Disney upcharge but instead buying it at the port when we board.

Yes, that's the one...decided to walk around and do the Roman Theater, etc. After reading the reviews online for the trolly it doesn't seem worth it to us. It is a nice option to offer this though.
